Actually I think the ultimate irony with them is they sound better than the kind of bands they are parodying; Motley Crue, Poison etc

They have some catchy tunes, not just that one hit, for that type of music
and some cool lyrics

I think Whites early stuff waste annoying, but I liked the raconteurs album, and the stripes one before that.

This pretty much means it was aborted which is obviously not the case.

 

Yeah, its a pretty false statement, I cant actually stand by it because I happen to love bands like Tool, Mastadon, Job For A Cowboy, etc. And I think metal is one of the few genres that are experimenting and trying new things, like Trollfest, just fuckin awesome!

That being said I still love the blues and psychedelic the most.

 

I first loved pretty much only metal but now it's pretty much limited to black metal only, I also like the folky ones but especially the folky black metal then as well I don't really care for experimenting in the first place. In the first place it has to sound good to me and when this weird stuff called black metal came up I slowly lost interest in most other metal subgenres. It just has everything I need where it comes to extreme music. Sometimes a genre just grabs you by the claws. Blues and psychedelic rock did this as well, after my Metallica, Iron Maiden and power metal fase For the last year I enjoyed listening to roots reggae and their dubs the most haha. No harm done, I still dig the other stuff a lot too.
Stuff I do not dig generally can be called alternative rock, indie as well. Not too fond on the White stripes in general either but especially Jack White sure knows how to play. Of course you still have to like it but he's certainly skilled! I like sloppy drumming as well. It doesn't have to sound so flawless to me. I just have to enjoy it
