Can you provide the names of these songs? I'm seriously doubting this ever happened.

Edit: While Nas is an "east coast" NY rapper, Tupac, by his own admission did not have a grudge against the east coast but a certain label in particular. Obviously being Bad Boy.

It would be pretty easy. ANY two Tupac songs against ANY Nas song could pretty much prove Pac's superiority.

its cause nas himself knew he couldnt compare.......same goes with biggy.......

in a freestyle comp....biggy wouldnt probly get a few blows in.....but give em a pen and some paper....and 2 pac would teach em the king

That's a matter of opinion; purely subjective. BUT you said TWO to one.

Yeah I would agree that Biggie is one of the greatest freestylers of all time. But Pac could rip anyone apart with a pen.

"21 Gun Salute" from Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, for one. He fucks him up on "Bomb First" too, from the same album. There are others, but the titles slip my mind.

Yeah, that was the deal. Pac has at least two lyrical masterpieces for each of Nas' masterpieces. You're right though, it is simply a matter of opinion. We could debate this all day and night and not sway each other's opinion.

hmmm, but who is to say the 3 people wouldnt say nas wins...?

the billboard charts say that.....wich are the opinions of the people following this type of issue

My question is does he reference Nas, NY, or just the east coast in general?

As a rapper, perhaps not, but as a man and a messenger he most certainly is.

Tupac thought Nas was biiting his whole "Thug" image (Godson across the belly for Nas and Tupac had Thug Life across the belly). Tupac speicifally said Nas' song the message was biting his stlye. But yo you are dead wrong there are not two tupac masterpieces for every one of Nas. If you actually wanna do this out you'll see pac has alot of filler tracks and some killer tracks. Nas, I would say without a doubt, is lyrically superior to Tupac but tupac had a real raw emotion that Nas didnt have.

P.S. Its not even that fair of a competition if you take into account that Pac put out almost like twice as many LPs as Nas has.

I have loved every Tupac album I have owned, and I have owned a lot:
    The Lost Tapes
    2pacalypse Now
    Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.
    Thug Life
    Me Against The World
    All Eyez On Me
    Greatest Hits
    R U Still Down
Makaveli: Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory
    Makaveli 8
    Makaveli 2001
    Tupac Resurrection
The Rose That Grew From Concrete
    Still I Rise
    Better Dayz
    Until The End Of Time
    Loyal 2 The Game

I love every single one of these albums. They all beat out anything Nas ever released, but that's just MY OPINION.

If you honestly believe that than you do not know what you are talking about. Its one thing to like a rapper but to say that Loyal 2 the Game (one of the worst rap albums put out that year) is better than anything Nas put out...ever? You really should listen to the music instead of automatically saying its good cuz its tupac. You are just not being reasonable and overhyping tupac to a lvl that he is just not at.

The lyrics on Loyal 2 The Game were good, but the beats sucked for the most part. I just happen to like Tupac's music. If you don't like it, cool, but I do. We all have our own opinions, and my opinion is that Pac is the greatest rapper to ever touch a mic. Nas comes in second, a VERY distant second, but still second.

You just said the beats sucked and you still think its better than a quality nas album? My oppinion is that Nas is the best emcee to ever pic up a pen and most def is second and then common and then maybe pac or big or tribe.
