Never use your real name and never provide your real address on social networking sites. Your friends will know who you are because you will have told them, but deniability is your best friend on the internet.

    Can you say, "Kick ROCKS!"

That the interviewer even had the ovaries to say that is just unbelievable. Like, that is just a blatant and obvious invasion of privacy.

I use mine very, very, very sparingly and tend to handle more business than personal on there. I just don't need everyone to know what I am doing all day. Hell, I don't want to know what I am doing all day, LOL.

This is why I'm not on Facebook, or any other social network.

I do not own a Facebook. Doesn't seem like privacy is going to be a matter of importance as time moves forward. Might as well drop the Facebook or deal with the personal violations.

This seems to be the truth.

It won't matter when the only jobs are at mcdonalds, and everything else in done in india/china..... Most people who work at mcdonalds have extramarital kids, drinking/drug problems, casual sex with anything that moves, etc, anyway..... So they won't care about people's FBs.

I'd just delete my face book and all the info off of it before deleting it. So I can tell them, no I don't have a Facebook.

yea im rather disturbed with how facebook is using our info lately. After you log out of facebook, DELETE YOUR COOKIES. FB as well as google put a tracking cookie on your PC to track up to 100 sites you visit after you go to FB or google. hmmmm, thats not too private >.>

I'm at the point were im going to leave FB

Make sure there is identifiable info in your profile. Have a race? Put it down. Religion? Put it down. Disability? Definitely put it down!
Then when they access it, sue the fuck out of them. When they requested the password, they requested access to personally identifiable information about your politics, religion, race AND disability. Hello ADA & a few other discrimination laws!
"What?!?!?! You're not going to hire me, now that I gave you my FB password???? WHY? Is it my religion? My race? OR my disability? Hmmm?"

Just don't put anything on it you won't want them to know, lol. Easy. :2thumbsup:

They can't find it anyway if you make your profile private to any searches - plus you can use a different email address for it.
