I just love Johny Depp..HE is really great actor..He can personate whatever he wants and that's really amazing...I can't remember how many films I have seen with him,....But I saw twice chocolate...And it was nice movie...Really strange, but good...I liked it!!!
Its been mentioned, but my favorite Johnny Depp movie is Dead man...not just my favorite of his, but of all time.
He was in a movie called Cry Baby. A parody of 1950s gangs. Much singing and dancing. I have it on tape. It's hilarious. Love Dead Man, on tape also. Love all Depp movies I've seen, but don't see them until they come on tv. Then I tape them. -Pedata
Except for Johnny's little Disney movie 'Pirates', I've liked all his movies. But I've yet to see him in anything truely awesome. Maybe Johnny dosen't have it in him.
I would like to say im a fan, but i havent seen all his movies, so i guess i cant call myself that. I really liked Edward Scissorhands, and Chocolat, and POTC, because its so funny. I want to see all of his movies, but i dont know where to start, so any suggestions?
Oh yeah, I forgot 'Edward Sissor Hands'. That film had potential. The way it exposed the supperficial absurdity of suburban culture was great! Johnny's 'Micheal Jackson' impression as 'Edward', though lacking originality, was still an excellent contrast to those pushy 'Gothic Puritan Americans'. However, Johnny's 'Kieth Richards' impression as the 'Pirate', though clever, was wasted on such Disney pablum. Disney will never understand that, when an attempt at humor is so painfully obvious, it will totally lose the essencial comical element of suprise. Which is why they had to resort to the usual supernatural, the last resort of....
really appreciate so much johnny deep....especially in tha masterpiece that's called blow........ what a great movie......
funny. this guy hates brad pitt too. i will repeat myself and say "iz yoo by ne chance a bit jealous?" hahahahah wtf always slaggin off the hot AND talented actors... these guys have played a variety of roles n puhleez they are not millionaires cuz they were born pretty ok? theres more to it than that. stop being so see thru. blah got too much anger for hot men. lol.
I think I read somewhere that The Brave was never totally finished because of directing troubles or something. But anyways, he is an amazing actor. Blow had me in tears, by the end of the movie I was beginning to think it was really George Jung. Dead Man was also a fantastic movie. I love the part when he sees the dead fawn on the ground and lays down beside it and pets it, that was so cute. Everything with Tim Burton was great. He's said he doesn't want to be a mainstream blockbuster boy, but its getting kind of hard to do that when people are finally starting to appreciate his talent and want him in bigger movies. I can't wait until Finding Neverland.
Go and rent Ed Wood if you've not seen it. It's fantastic. Johnny plays this director who is secretly a cross-dresser as well, set in 1950's Hollywood. It makes for a very interesting plot, but Mr. Depp is brilliant. Another one of my favorite Depp movies is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. What a trip!
in jack the ripper and sleepy hollow i thought he looked really cute but in pirates of the carabian(i cant spell) he looked funny becuase it suited him!
I don't think he has sold out, I think he has just become more known. After Pirates of the Caribbean alot of people I know became suddenly a big fan and ran out and rented all the movies he's ever been in. I think he is a good actor and this is the fame he deserves.
All I know is that his movie Dead Man is one of the best movies ever and it is certainly his best movie. I actually just watched it for the hundredth time.
