John Lennon

My favorite periods of John's music are the year or two before the break-up, and then again just before he died.

That was when he produced "Strawberry Fields", "Across the Universe", "A Day in the Life", not to mention the great songs on "Double Fantasy" like "Beautiful Boy".

Interestingly, I think those years were Paul's best, also. I don't know if that's a coincidence or what. I do think they were probably each other's biggest competitors, maybe only competitors.

 

i love the song mind games but the song i have stuck in my head is working class hero. that song, i find speaks to me on such an amazing level it's mind blowing man

 

Yeah Lennon was pretty damn groovy man. I loved some of his songs like Working Class Hero, Watchin the Wheels, Instant Kharma, an' Give peace a chance I've had a few cats tell me I look like his reincarnation

I can play some piano, and I can sing pretty good man. My girl's teachin' me guitar someday hopefully

"Give Peace A Chance" is the greatest song ever written. John Lennon is one of my heros for his music. He was a true genius

 

for my government class, we are having a political campaign and my friend and i didnt want to join the democratic party or the republican party so we convinced our teacher to let us start a third party called the peace party and i just gave my presidential acceptance speech yesterday and i ended it with "all we are saying, is give peace a chance." =]

 

Good for you!!!! That's so awesome, I wish MY goverment class let us do that...wait, I wish i HAD a goverment class!!

 

haha does your school require you to take government your senior year?

cause if so i encourage you to start your own party! i had to write a proposal on why i should be allowed to start my own party so i wrote all this crap about how third parties play very important roles in elections, even if they arent elected and how it would be going against my constitutional rights to NOT let me start my own party. so even though theres only two of us in the party, my teacher reluctantly let us do it.

never could go wrong with john or george thats way i named my 2 sons after them ,i did that hopeing that with those names my sons can grow to become just as wise and careing and loveing as them

Too many people focus on what may come later rather than the here and now. That's why I love John, because he knows that we can change things here and now. All we needed was for people to wake up and see peace and love for what it really meant. Now it's our duty to keep spreading his message.
