Johnny Depp is good-looking, definitely, but he's not a stereotypical "pretty boy". Orlando, yes. Brad, maybe. Johnny, no. He doesn't "risk" his image...he doesn't give a shit about it! He doesn't care what you or I or any other person in this thread or in the world thinks of him, which is in part why he does the roles that he does. He wants to ACT, and he's not afraid to ugly himself up to do it. And he's great at what he does. He doesn't care enough about his image to "risk" it. You can't risk something you don't care about in the first place.
Thats what i ment with depp he's not afraid to do whatever intrest's him. he's not scared to take a risk. he's not worried about maybe doing something that could possible decimate his public image. could you image brad pitt for example in Dead man?? but he played it well and i love that film. the only thing i like brad pitt in was 12 monkeys, that impressed and suprised me just for the fact that he did it,. and was actually pretty good. depp's filmography is a lot more varied and entertaining. but i still consider him to be some one who you would expect to be fancied on pure looks before you even saw him in a film. if ya understand what i mean? if not ermm lets eat Fuschia cos they taste nice
from the movies i've seen...i think depp is the best actor..he is always good...pitt is good too...orlando bloom hasnt done much honestly(that i've seen) to be judged on his acting talents. i wont touch which one is better looking
Hehe, I once posted a poll about which men ladies preferred on another forum. I did it to take the piss out of all the adoring girls really. Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom featured. The other two were perhaps somewhat lesser known as one's dead and the other is a footballer not a film star. Let me know what you lot think anyway. There's Brandon Lee: http://www.filmszene.de/kino/spotlight/august99comics/crowbrandon.jpg and Gino Padula: http://www.btinternet.com/~d.a.barton/padula1024.jpg
Eric Banana-bread! I think he is SO underrated. He's not on the same level as Depp, but hell if he doesn't have the potential! And to think he used to be a comeidan in Austrailia! I have some Aussie friends who remember Banana from his pre-Hulk days, and they always talk about how weird it is to see him in serious roles now. lol Though they DID get to see him in Chopper. Which got me to thinking... Charlize Theron gained weight to play a true-life murderer in Monster and won an academy award! While Eric did the exact same thing in Chopper (years before Ms. Theron) and got minimal recognition at best. And I don't think he's less of an actor than she is. That is NOT a serious argument (before some people start going off on how wrong I am). LOL That was just something that crossed my mind the other day.
*goes into fangirl mode* bRaNdOn lEe!!11!!!! OMG!!!!11!!!! *exits fangirl mode* I like Brandon Lee. It's such a shame what happened to him. I remember it clearly, too. That was just an all-time sorrowful time in my life, in terms of celebrity crushes. Lost both Brandon Lee AND River Phoenix in the same year. *mourns*
right this one is a big decision. i was a bradd pitt cynic before i saw 'Troy', but we all know that johnny depp is a legend and overshines orlando...but that orlando is so sweet... gotta go with johnny...
Good to see Orlando shining in Kingdom of Heaven, though I think the film was stolen by Salah al Din and his deputy played by Alexander Siddig. Always thought he was great in Deep Space Nine....
Orlando Bloom's best role was taking a pitchfork through the chest in Midsomer Murders. That man cannot act for toffee.
