Join me on a Backpacking Trip???

So im excited about all this. So how long do you think this trip will last? Not that it matters...im just wondering what size framepack to use and what to do for preparations and what not.

 

i've been wanting to travel too. im also 16, my friend and i are leaving on next month and i was hoping to meet some people like us on our trip. were going all over the US and our goal is to get to California!

Hey emma, I'm VERY interested if you wanna get back to me. This summer I plan on leaving my place around June 20 and not coming back home till August. I've got plenty of survival skills, a good head on my shoulders, and a strong urge to see what's over the horizon. This thread is so encouraging!

 

YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAA Ive been wanting to do something simmilar for awhile since reading On The Road. And the walk across america.



If this is actually going to happen let me know. I am interested. If the plans are to hitch we are going to need smaller groups.


Oh and yea most school does suck But I found a loop hole. Im about to graduate with a degree in Ecotourism and Adventure travel. Ive spent time in Alqochein or how ever you spell it. Ive been on 3 or 4 backpacking trips. Rocking climbing, repelling, white water rafting, I spend hardly any time in the classroom and I just took a job in the Bahamas doing scuba for three months. You cant complain with that.

Thats exactly what I plan on doing! I think it would be so much fun! What school are you going to for that?

 

I go to a little redneck/hippie college called Hocking. Its nestled in the foothills of appalachia in southern ohio. Its great. I cant believe it is actually school. Ive heard really great things about appalachia state in NC. they have a bachelor program. mine is only associates degree. But I would def. be down with this plan. You know it would really be better with 2-3 people. For hitchings sake. Most plans like this rarely work out but I would like this one to. If anyone is truly serious about this p.m. if you want and we could stay in contact.

Oh thats really cool. I was looking into Unity, in Maine, but it is so expensive!

 

I only pay something like 1300 a qtr for tuition




really the best for this trip to work is for one guy and one girl.... that way we could get rides..

Take me..As soon as spring rolls around Im out. Ive been looking for someone cool around my age (19) to come with and none of my friends are willing to take a step like that. Looking to get out west..trainhopping, hitchhiking or just walking. get back to me if your interested ..at the very least maybe just tramp together until your path leads a different way. peacee love and light.
