Like explained earlier in this thread, it's technically not a filter so it is not inhibiting anything (except for getting crumbles in your mouth). It is probably called a filter in english because it simply resembles the look of a cigarette filter in a rolled joint.

Whaaaaaaat? Oh, I get it the filter that's not a filter? Really? Again, keep it simple. Don't leave THC on a foreign additive ; injest it.

Well, it's really pretty simple. Don't like the weed in a joint stuffed til the end that you have in your mouth? Use a rolled piece of paper :) Not sure what would make it a foreign additive exactly.

The paper serves to collect cannaboids and THC. I want those substances in my body not residual on a filter. Right?

You people aren't 'listening'.....it's not filterng the smoke. It works simply as a mouthpiece and screen, as pointed out all throughout this thread.

I've never used them personally, but I've seen them used at festivals and what not. I like them, but 90+% of the time I'm using a bowl of some kind, so I haven't put any effort into figuring it out. If I smoked more joints I would definitely use them.

Most if my friends always use a bowl too, it's rare that I smoke anything rolled anymore.

I just told him it is technically not a filter. Not sure why he don't understand :p

No, wrong. Read the other posts in this thread, perhaps you will get it :D

I agree bowls are better. Buuuut , here you are insrting an object into your joint and you don't expect THC and cannaboids to collect on it? Handle or not, it's still a foreign obstacle in my smoke.

Ah, no , only hit bowl 2x today. Off to work !!!!

If you would smoke joints without a filter or tip as we call it you often notice the part of the joint that's in your mouth gets soft or closes down because it is only the rolling paper and the weed in the J that is giving it substance. There would be left as much if not more thc and cannaboids left on a closed down soft end of the rolling paper as there would be on a harder piece of paper that is giving the mouth part more strength.
It only inhales better and gives a more steady mouth piece. Half the world doesn't smoke their joints like that for nothing :p It's pure logic.

It really won't be collecting enough to notice ANY difference whatsoever.. maybe, by the time you die you will have saved enough up weed to be able to have another joint to smoke, if you hadn't just died.

It's practicality heavily outweighs any miniscule disadvantages it might have..

A joint filter only has advantages as far as I've experienced. But some might prefer a soft end and weed crumbles in their mouth :p

If properly rolled and maintained ; you will never get a spec in your mouth. Remember Goullaises? That is how joints should be rolled.

I know exactly how joints should be rolled ;) Gaullaises cigarettes? I know the brand but not what you mean how they are rolled. They look just like the other cigarettes here (which means they have a real cotton filled filter which you would def not like in your joint for the reasons you mentioned yourself), so I guess you mean something different... How were they rolled exactly?

Asmodean , my mother was raised on a German island which was once a Dutch colony. Most men on the island smoked a strong French cig in blue pack with a helmet on them. Very good strong euro tobacco. Called Gaullaises. About as tall as you index finger , a few mm round. Perfectly rolled. The perfect joint.

I still buy those french cigs myself occasionally. Tasty and strong tobacco indeed. But they are rolled just like other cigs, at least nowadays or here, so I don't know what you mean how they were used to be rolled. There are some brands that have or had cigs without filters, so perhaps that is what you mean?

That is what I mean. Those cigs were made wider , tighter, fatter. Perfect joints. Perhaps the size of your little finger. I can keep a joint like that around the house for at least a couple days. Just noticed your pic. Precisly. They seem leaner than what I recall. Less tobacco. I last smoked one in 1977. Good cigs. Actually, Asmodean ,I enjoyed my time there.

So did you stuff an empty cig cone or something? Yeah they can smoke good too. I definately don't smoke without a piece of paper at the mouth end myself though. The last but not least advantage of it is of course you don't have to worry about how to hold it when it is nearly finished.

Ah, yeah #38 also . I just don't get that. It still serves to "filter" out all the good ingredients. Use a clip.

No, Asmodean , just roll big doobs , you know ,the size of that cig you sent me. Spliffs. But rolled with the fine craftmanship of a well tailored cigarette ie. Lucky Strike or Goullaise.
