Nardonney. Very primitive in her day. Pre WW2. I hear it's a pretty popular wind surfing spot now. Sounds cool.

When I made the thread, I wasnt sure if anyone would give a fuck. But here we are and some interesting and some funny opinions/posts. Personally I like to have a filter/tip/crutch/bridge/whatever at the end of the joint.

As many have said, its super practical.

And DAMN IT PEOPLE, it doesnt actually filter anything. Especially not anything like a cig filter.

Asmo, I fyou have any can you post a pic of the booklets of filters you get from coffee shop?

I don't have a pic myself but they are similar like these:

The tips (filters) are similar to every piece of paper you get in a coffeeshop here, and coffeeshops usually sell these booklets as well (for about €1)

Cool. Are these the perforated ones I mentioned in my original post, or just some card suitable size for rolling?

Nope. I usually just tear them in half. A half piece of paper is enough for a good tip.

Whenever I see business cards, I check their usability as a roach/filter. If it's not too thick and nice and papery, I will grab a bunch of them. I can usually get 5 or 6 out of one card.

Yes, I always use a filter/roach. We call them filters, or roaches.
First time I realized there were people who didn't, was when I met a man from California who was surprised at how we rolled our joints. We would both roll joints in our own style and share them over the next week or so that we hung out.. But I really never cared much for the filter-less option. It seemed wasteful and then it would get all soggy before long.

I actually used to smoke with real cotton filters for a while. Back when I bought pot 500grams at a time. I still got plenty high, and it felt better on the lungs. This old pothead I met advised me to "do that if you still wanna be smokin' this stuff in 20 years" I wouldn't do it now; scarcity. But if not for the cost and difficulty even acquiring something smokable, I'd still use real filters for the sake of my health.

I've rolled a lot of joints. I can do it one-handed, I can do it the dutch way where you roll it with the paper inside out and burn off the excess paper on the side, and the filter always goes in before I roll.
