Also, people throw around the words "socialism" and communism to scare people. Supporting socialized medicine and the like do not make you a "socialist," at least not in the way that people usually use that word. It just means you have a conscience, and care about all people having their basic human rights taken care of.

 

Yes, Clinton is a rapist. This has been alleged by women such as Juanita Broaddrick, who claimed she was raped by Clinton in 1978. Other women have accused Clinton of the same. However, because of his power and influence, he's able to get away with these things. Just like he was able to get away with the murder of Ron Brown, Vince Foster, and all the other people he was associated with, who turned up mysteriously dead.

And I am sorry the word socialism scares you, but that is what we have under this big government system of control. It's never been about helping people, but rather controlling and managing people. This is why we have some candidates talking about MANDATORY state health care, where everyone must get the same standardized health care, with no access to alternative treatments. Who do you think this most benefits?

 

sorry sir, but the American public is calling for a new system of health care, mainly those without health care. This is why it is such an issue now. Also something you should be aware of...in this country we have agreed that someone is deemed innocent until proven guilty. We have been dooped into believing rhetoric spilling from the desk of ken starr, or from conservative blogs (liberals are not completely innocent here either of course, but since we are on the issue of the Clintons...) or "private" ad-campaigns. You only have to think back to the last election when the people bought into the swift boat accusations. You see, just because someone says something, it doesnt make it true. You understand that, right??
Conservatives are notorious for ruthless, factless accusations against people who dont serve THEIR interests (they may have fooled you into thinking they serve your interests, but believe me, they dont)...THUS all the frivolous attacks on Bill Clinton and the like.

It's the private sector that's throwing its weight around now, and they can buy a lot of government power. Yet government is the only force strong enough to have a chance (however distant) of keeping the private sector from running completely out of control.

Unless it's mandatory, it will likely fail due to adverse selection. Conservatives want any such plan to be wasteful and inefficient (witness their prescription drug plan which was basically a free handout to a very few corporations). In fact it's a basic precept of conservatism to ensure that government programs are wasteful and inefficient (Barry Goldwater's famous quote comes to mind) so that they can argue that they're wasteful and inefficient.

 

I think people seem to be mixing up Fascism and Authoritarianism here. Fascism, by definition, is right-wing, just as communism is by definition left-wing. They're both Authoritarian, but it doesn't mean they're the same thing.

The outcome from fascism and communism are the same. Just because you're taught in school that they're on opposing ends of the spectrum, doesn't really mean they are.

 

What evidence do you have for me being a neocon, other than me saying something about Bill Clinton you didn't like? I don't buy into the false left/right paradigm that you do.

 

Their outcomes aren't identical, they do differ on certain aspects, but largely, yes they are the same, both being Authoritarian as I said.

 

Fascism = Enslavement and murder by the few over the many.

Communism = Enslavement and murder by the few over the many.

The only REAL difference between the two is that communism claimed many more lives.

 

A better way to say that might be that the opposite ends have the same results.

But it doesn't change the facts that:

1. Fascism is a right wing ideology, and

2. Jonah Goldberg is a drooling neocon moron.

 

A sliiight over simplification of the two. I'd say that "Enslavement and murder by the few over the many." is Authoritarianism in general, rather than the two being discussed. They tend to differ on several points like who the hatred/divisions are directed at, whereas Fascism directs these at Ethnic or Nationalistic elements, Communism directs these at class or intellectual elements.

Also; the best way to describe politicians today has nothing to do with left or right, or liberalism or conservativism...it has to do with statism vs individualism.

Of course, most retards will immediately try to frame that in terms of left vs right (which side is more likely to be one or the other, etc), because they are simply incapable of defining their reality in any way other than the one they have already accepted and been instructed in by the tv, etc...but what can you do?
