^agreed, they left a lot of different gospels out when they combiled the bible. We also know that "lying for the faith" was an admittedly rampant occurance in the first few centuries, even according to the Catholic Encyclopedia. That alone should make the Christians realize that this book is not infallable or even very accurate as God's word. It's not even internally consistent because of these issues. As far as Paul goes, well, I'm not a Christian but I still value Jesus as a teacher. I pretty much ignore a lot of what Paul has to say, because he's about as bad as a modern-day fundie. Overzealous and closed-minded. The fact that he didn't know Jesus doesn't bother me all that much, if one wants to see Paul as being a teacher too. I just don't dig his message as much, I guess.
