What does that guy have to do with this Jussie Smollett case?

 

I don't know as much about this case as I probably should--but it sounds like this dude did a fucked up thing and it backfired on him pretty badly. Embarrassing--didn't he realize that if he got caught that he was going to be held as a token example of all sorts of nasty things for the next few years?

 

The really weird thing is how many people are STILL trying to portray him as a "victim" in all of this. On another board I'm hearing people suggest that since "right wing racism" is SO prevalent, this case still "raises awareness" (a very over-used term these days).

Well, I'm more aware now than I was before that these kinds of hoaxes are not exactly rare. Which I find confusing since we're supposed to be mired in right wing violence on every corner. Why would anyone need to manufacture an event like this when MAGA hat assholes are ready to strike at a moment's notice?

It's all so confusing.

I've never seen anyone in a MAGA hat and this is south jersey. Except on TV.

I was just talking about this with someone the other day. I live in basically the epicenter of Trump country and I have never seen anyone wearing a MAGA hat

 

that's a good point. i think there's maybe 3 people in my town that don't go home and beat off to oranges and walls, yet i've never seen one of those hats in person either.
