Most of the real cover-up was/is being done by Japanese officials.
Just like BP covered up the amount of oil that spilled into the gulf of Mexico.
It's really the damage to the oceans that is the concern for me. This is just another event in a long history of catastrophies and abuses that could probably have been avoided, and the cover-ups only make it seem more sinister.

One thing that gets me is how the ant-nuke activists will proclaim it's a specific contaminant that is responsible for the readings. How do they know it's cesium 137 or strontium 90? How have they checked? Verify the tests and verify the sampling. Verify verify verify.

I think that global warming and garbage is doing a lot more harm to the oceans that this. The reason they have to cover things up is because of how the general public feels about nuclear power... and the fact that so many people don't understand it and go apeshit when they hear certain terms or phrases. The conspiracy theorists looking for any reason to spread outrage and paranoia definitely aren't helping things.

Nuclear seems to me to be a relatively clean source of power... I'm not saying this was no big deal because it is, but the real damage is being done by fossil fuels.

The only other 'event' like Fukishima, is Chernobyl...in Pripyat Ukraine, so if you want to know what is going to happen, the results are there.
1986, and that city is now abandoned, the deaths too many to be noted any more.
I remember the warnings, the crisp dew on the grass, strangest thing i ever seen. My parents saying 'dont worry' these thing happen..they both died of canser, ive had it twice, related, who knows? No one asks..but over 500.000 workers were involved in Chernobyle the first level 7 event, only one other so far has reached that high....fuckishima! Oh, where did i live when Chernobyl happened i hear you say...lancashire Uk...
