What does Obama stand for?? I have no idea, the guy has not been specific. This 'now' 2 year media driven process to get someone elected as President is a disgrace and laughing stock of the free world. No one who is really good would want to go through that.

    What does Obama stand for?

You got me, when he can drop out of churches that he's attended and been afiliated with for years just because it might look bad for his campaign strategy. Not once but twice. It's hard to believe that he stands for, or is loyal to anything.

And if he picks Hillary as a running mate, we will know only that he wishes to win.

Orwell, like Huxley, had insider knowledge of this agenda, which was planned long ago. These books are hardly the works of fiction that many believe. They in fact are the blueprints for what's being carried out now. The 1984 world would be the precursor to the "brave new world" we're entering.

When The Princess read Orrwell's: Animal Farm she thought it was about Fidel and Che! She could hardly belive it was written before the Cuban Revolution!

"I wonder sometimes whether Orwell would have published 1984 if he'd known it was going to be used as an instruction manual ..."

    He may think like that.
I think he would laugh his ass off, at the amount of theories people have had about it. Infact, he'd probably be holidaying somewhere hot - laughing his ass off. At how many people think it is a 'Blueprint', how some people treat it like a bible, how many people take it all so seriously.

I just think somebody can make observations about the time in which they live (that he did) and transport it into the near future. As any generation/age you care to imagine, has similar concerns that he envisaged. They may not have been able to articulate it as well has he did. That is why we are still talking about it. I'm sure 200 years ago, there were similar works - now forgoten, like his work will be sooner or later. The significance is slowly ebbing away.

No doudt, It has taken on a life of its own.
