your a pussy. If I was him in theory I would have you killed while I was in jail, perfect alibi. If he had a knife, you should have took it from him and defended yourself, or at least run away like a bitch, unless your legs dont work.

Alright, after going through everyone's posts this is what I think:

A 16 year old and a 14 year old want drugs. They happen to be desperate. Newradicalface and I can directly relate. In our situation as well as morgista's it was in a bad part of town, and you never know who they know, and who is watching. In bad parts of town you are getting no help from anyone but yourself.

You were robbed by 2 guys? Am I correct? Probably 16-20? Only one guy is turned in? That leaves another guy after you. I would NOT drop charges, but I would change the charges to probation if possible. These guys will want your ass, regardless of them being the ones who robbed you.

Now for those of you who are older, imagine being 16, and coming home to your parents with out the 2 bikes you left with. Your parents are instantly going to question that, and you can't hide that 2 bikes are missing for too long, your parents WILL find out. Are you still imagining you are 16?

I KNOW my parents would call the cops as well as any parents with half a brain. If morgista said he didn't recognize the photo, and his cousin said he did, then he would be digging a hole for himself.

Think about the situation. Seriously people.

wow thanks for that. i think people really need to undertand the situation before they go and post the stuff they have.

@killswitch: i'm sure ANY 130lb stoner woulda done exactly the same if they were in my shoes. but no, i am one of the few pussies out there, that had to sit still while a drunk 200lb native was waving around a hunting knife.

by native, do you mean native american indian?

because i know whats up if you do- i live pretty close to a reservation and it aint exactly pretty there. you DEF dont want beef with natives.

still, i woulda ran. or gave him my shit, accept the fact i was gettin robbed and get over the 30$ and bikes. i woulda talked it over with my cousin on the way home, formulated our story and told him not to pick anyone out of a line up after your parents called the cops.

whats done is done though. i highly doubt the guy will come looking for you- if he was an addict/drunk his friends have probably long forgotten about his ass gettin locked up in jail and dont give two shits anymore. i still think the whole things kinda fucked up, but i realize you got put in a corner- that fuckin sucks.

good luck with it i guess- like i said, i would be very surprised if that dude ever came lookin for you. lesson learned though, right? ive had to learn that way too, shit aint fun.

just be more careful next time man i think thats all everyones tryin to get at. dont allow yourself to get put in these situations.

well the cops said i made the right move by not hesistating to do what he said. he asked for the bike, i gave it to him. they said drunk natives are very easily agitated, and resisting to one simple request could have set them off. like saying "no" would have easily gotten us stabbed. but they were native-canadians, so i'm guessing that would be the same as in the states.

just one more thing to add:
i will admit, that it was very dumb of me to put myself into this situation. i had an instinct of what was going on when it all began, but something told me to keep going.

where i found most of you to be wrong, is about the telling the cops bit. i mean your little "unwritten codes" can have their exceptions. getting robbed by violent criminals is one of those exceptions.

anyway i suggest anyone new to this topic, just to not post at all cause if you've read through it you'll see that there's been a hell of a lot of arguing already.

so i apologize for getting pretty pissed back there, but yea it happens.

You don't call the cops on a bike theft.

How fucken yuppie can you be?

I hope that you like ass-rape, because those guys are going to ass rape you once for every day they've spent in prison when they find you. :)

My family is lower-middle class, and bikes aren't pocket change. My parents would call the cops because it is hard-earned money that pay for the bikes.

    god, please don't start.
    1. i didn't call the cops my parents did. and i told my parents only because they would be asking why 2 bikes were missing
    2. it was robbery not theft. they used verbal threats with a weapon, and took my allowance which kinda ruined the rest of my summer.
    3. they will never find me. the guy was drunk when he did this to me, and he has a lifetime restraint that he can be no closer than 1km and i can call the cops if i even see him..and they will have him in court deciding whether or not to throw him back in jail. also they put me on some kinda witness protection thing. no information of me was provided. and as far as him recoginizing me, that would be extremely unlikely. 2 years may be a short time in some sense, but between the ages of 16 and 18, your body changes a helluva lot.

Shouldn't have told your parents that you knew what the guy looked like, shouldn't have testified in court.

Robbery my ass. No one was going to cut some white kids in the ghetto for two bikes.

Maybe they will find you, don't underestimate the power of revenge. If I was them, I would find you, and I would make you pay.

The bikes are not the only point here. The damn kid took the bikes out to the ghetto to buy drugs.

    Honestly.

He deserved to have those bikes stolen. Most people would take it as a lesson well learned instead of calling the bloody cops.

I know what you mean. I would say that I left my bike outside when I went to the store, someone cut the chain and stole it.

Remember his parents are the ones who called the cops. He should have thought up a story, but at this point it is too late.

People learn from mistakes and this is a mistake morrgista will learn, as well as the guy in jail. (hopefully)

i never testified in court, in fact i was never in court. it's kinda hard to make up a description on the spot espiecally since they would ask my cousin the same thing. what was i gonna do, bullshit it? i don't think that would work out so well. cops are very intimidating when they tell you the laws about lying to them..so i didn't want to fuck around.

also, you can bet your ass that if i didn't give them my money, i wouldn't be writing this right now. stabbings in my city are extremely high among natives. think they would give a fuck how old we are? think again..a 15 year old kid was found in the river back in august, and guess what? it was a natives that did this. just the other day in the paper some guy walking down a street at 8:00pm was stabbed by an unknown. now we were stuck in this situation, there was no way we were getting out, unless we either cooperate, or want our guts sliced out.

I don't care if you called the cops or your parents did, it doesn't excuse anything.

Maybe the 15 year old they found in the river called the cops on some people he shouldn't have called the cops on :D

The OP is a pussy. If I would have got jacked by them I wouldnt have run to the cops. I would have run to my car and get my protection out and go get back whats mine. If not I would get my people to roll up and work out a very appropriate ass kicking of some sort. I mean seriouslly grow up you barely even lost any money. Ive lost about 10,000 to drugs from getting ripped off and I never once cried to anybody about it.

you had no problem not telling them you were looking for drugs,,, strange how that wasnt forced out of you but they had no problem getting you to finger him in a line up..

yeah you ratted him out, plain an simple..

not like ya couldnt have said he wasnt in the lineup..

so suddenly ya forgot how to lie??

oh an the whole knife thing,,i read what you said went down,, it was far from what you make it out to be...

ill say this,, you would never have survived the 70's if you think what happened to you was so bad...

you have a lot to learn....
