No no, the government has insisted on several occasions that the war isn't about the oil. It's about "freedom" and "weapons of mass destructions" and whatever other crap they tell us it's about. never mind that saddam had no WMD's, and that now Iraq is in an even bigger mess. The only way they'll restore order to iraq is to put saddam back in power. sad, but true. I think saddam is an awful man, but he's pretty much the only guy who could keep control of iraq.
