haha Awesome how this thread has continued to expand!

Including the original mix of "Aoxomoxoa"? ;) I've got that, and it's much better and more psychedelic than the remix they put out on CD.

I've got a bunch of other music as well, if you go back and check out the list I left. I've definitely been expanding since, though.

Oh, and as for the whole jail scenario, this may come in handy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqMjMPlXzdA"]BUSTED: The Citizen's Guide to Surviving Police Encounters - YouTube

My friend has actually seen a painted hippie bus around the area a couple times. Too bad he never saw the people on it.

I just got the original on vinyl.. Haha. Had no idea it was any different from the CD. :p

Same thing here, I live in a liberal arts/college town called yellow springs and it's covered in anything counterculture you can think of. Kind of like a mini SF. But yeah I see a lot of painted buses and VW's around here in the summer. I've only became friends with 3 of the owners ): But it's still nice to see

Anyways, back to the original conversation.. Anyone have ideas for some cool cities or places to visit on the way? Possibly even some festivals or concerts?

Well I know that in Chicago there is Peace Fest for 3 days and last time there were buses and tents and stuff, a really good place to hang out. It's in the 3rd week of June every summer.
I just don't know what states people are planning to visit. But being summer, there will definitely be lots of festivals to drop in on.

Awesome, of course we'll have to talk about this with the OP but that sounds cool. There's also hempfest in seattle and the cannabis festival in SF.. Just a thought

Festivals sound good and all but they will have to be free fests, im pretty sure we'll have enough to feed ourselves and get across the country but for anything extra we'll have to busk or find some other way to make a little money on the road. If anybody has $$ to donate to getting the bus you should email John at uumm890@gmail.com, the more funds the more reliable the bus, I dont think we have any mechanics on board yet so it would help alot.

Just listen to "What's Become of the Baby". MAJOR difference. I've got a bit noisy, but otherwise really good vinyl rip. They couldn't find the original master tape when they put out the official CD, so they chose a 70's remix instead unfortunately.

I've also got clean vinyl rips of Hendrix and Zeppelin that sound much better than the official digitally compressed CD remasters. I'm a bit of an audiophile. haha I always try to seek out the best releases for any music I listen to, and I'm actually a member of a private music torrent site that makes things REALLY convenient.

Page 5, last post everyone can find the list of most of the music I have. And it'll be much more by the time Summer 2013 arrives! You can't stop me! haha :D

My friends actually want to hit up Peace Fest this summer, and it's free from what I believe. Chicago is definitely a place to visit.

Maybe you can help get the bus running on alternative fuel! :2thumbsup:

Well that sucks, the original is so good! But yes definatley bring all of your originals, I'll be dancing to them nonstop ;) I'm an audiophile too. I've spent hundreds of dollars on the best record players and speakers, I can't stand crappy sound :p

By the way, I'm moving to sturgis south Dakota here in a few months so if you guys end up heading there to get me then it would be right around the time of the sturgis motorcycle rally, and there's a ton of ''unique'' and like minded people, plus it's free. Just another thought

    She'll come back. :)
But at least people have been brainstorming places to visit in the meantime.
Has anyone mentioned the rainbow gathering in this thread yet? I think that would be a good place to stop by as long as stephwinny likes the idea. They don't know the exact state they will be in yet, but it's around the Appalachian Mtns so it will be in Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or Georgia.

I don't think that video from flex your rights will mean shit.

Probable cause is all it takes. Probable cause no longer means shit, smell, behavior (being nervous, etc) or the cops immagination are all now probable cause. Hippies (especially once the cops hunch played out, actually guilty ones) word against an upstanding officer, you won't stand a chance.

Hell, the paint could probably be probable cause.

My advice? Simple, boring paint, about jesus. Pretend to be trying to save souls. Don't pick an obscure faith tho, then you're at risk for being labeled potential "domesitic terrorists"

I may be a Christian, but I'm also a hippie and boring paint is something I'm not satisfied with! Jesus was a radical during his time, and today's mainstream Christianity is far removed from what He intended. Wars and big government? REALLY NOW!?

LOL Sorry for getting a bit off-topic. I'm pretty sure that it's okay if I say this, because the trip is probably going to be split into two trips from what I heard. And there's definitely people really putting in the effort towards making it happen, so don't think everyone's forgotten about it.

There's also a dude named Hippie Trip on Facebook who freely travels around in a psychedelic hippie bus, and puts pictures and links up. He's definitely a really groovy guy and I've chatted with him, too. But he's in Canada.
