Hey, have they seen the 1st , 'the never ending story' yet? That was ACE :) . My friend is getting his kids to watch the original HE-MAN cartoons as they had lots of moral endings + they love them lol.

Yeah, they have seen "The Never Ending Story" and I think they have seen the second one aswell, even through it is not as good, but they are only four and what do they care! I don't think they have seen He-Man, but they do like to watch the original Superman and Batman shows. I have to admit they are pretty funny.

I only liked the original 1st never ending story. + U know what, I hate admitting this in a forum, but I have the polyphonic tune of it on my mobile fone + anytime I watch it ( Which is not often thankfully lol ), I cry with happiness in the ending ha ha.

Yeah, the 1st 3 volumes of the Original He-man cartoons are on DVD now, totally ace for kids :) . + I can't stand when they changed he-man from the original formula either. I have + love all 130 episodes of the 'Thundercats ' too lol.

If there are any moderators on then I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I'm not supposed to do this cos I don't know if I'm allowed to or not. But I attached a midi file ZIP of the neverending story to share as it sounds ace converted on a full channel nokia mobile fone. If I shouldn't have posted it then please remove this posting + tell me in this thread or PM me if I was allowed to do it or not.

B.T.W, the original midi sounds a bit naff, but BELIEVE me , when converted , you REALLY hear the ocean + all channels of sound etc!

Boy did this thread degenerate... started with talk about movies, then drooling over David Bowie's misspelled "bulge."

Anyway, I saw Cube and Hypercube, and I guess I liked them both. I should have added them to the "disturbing movies" thread. I found it very disturbing that people were essentially kidnapped and put into a torture chamber like that. The most gruesome thing was when a guy went into one of the Cube rooms and there was a swish-boing sound, and then you saw that a big mouse-trap-like mesh of wires had swooshed right through him and chopped him into stew meat that was still just standing there. Gradually you saw lines of blood start to appear where he had been sliced, and he collapsed into chunks. That was really awful.

Hypercube got really confusing. And I kind of have a problem with the fact that you are never really informed, in either movie, what the hell it was all about. In Hypercube, the woman who survives and gets out is then executed by some military types (in front of a lot of military types). I got the impression that she had been a plant in the group that was in the cube, and when they found out what she knew about it, her usefulness was over. It was pretty sick. You end up wondering what the government wanted the hypercube developed for. If they wanted someone dead, why not just kill him and maybe burn the body? What's the point of putting him into the cube? Torture? They wouldn't even be able to see it happen to him!

And what kind of mind came up with the ideas for these movies, anyway?

    Blue skies,
    -Jeffrey

Labrynth was awesome...i still watch it from time to time..
I used to have a labrynth video game where you played as if you were in the labrynth..was real low tech though

Never saw dark crystal-what's it about?

As for the cube--that movie is feaky, it really helps if you are high before trying to watch it!

All you have to say is I wish the the goblins would come and take you away!

but must point out that the cube is an incredible movie with INCREDIBLY BAD ACTORS!!!!

Anybody with an education in philosophy will love the cube.
