You’re right we have been on quite a streak over the last decade with 1 NBA Title, 2 Red Sox World Series Championships, and 3 Super Bowl Titles. [IMG]

The Bruins however haven’t won shit since back in the days of Bobby Orr and “The Big Bad Bruins” [IMG]

yah my allegiance is mainly to northern California sports so there has only been 1 title I really remember which was the 1994 49ers superbowl. Apparently we were spoiled in the 80's with the 49ers and Oakland A's but I was to young or not alive to remember that. And the Golden State warriors......well its tough to remain a FAn but somehow I persevere

With the series tied 2-2 the fifth game is pivotal for both teams, whoever wins this sunday will go on to be crowned the next NBA champion (And yes, even though La-la Land has the final two games at home)

I only root for MN teams but since I hate the Celtics and the Lakers are technically a former MN team I'll root for them.

    It's been a good series so far. They're pretty evenly matched,so I think it's a toss-up.

I'm a Kobe fan and will be pulling for the Lakers. I'd be nice for Garnett to get a ring though.. Hell I don't would care for the Celtics to win it all tbh.

That's why its been that much more fun watching this series. Both teams have got some serious talent.

From a fans perspective its actually kind of frustrating because neither team can dominate the other like they do against most other teams.

But now that the Celtics are up 3-2 I’m feeling a lot better and I’m looking forward to attending the victory parade next week in downtown Boston [IMG]

OK--it's time for the Zen master to retire. Phil Jackson has lost the fire in his belly. He just sits there with a beatific look on his face while the Celts get to the basket time after time. Where was the ZONE that works so well when the defense allows players to get thru the lane so easily? Why doesn't he jump up and holler and get pissed when his players continually miss assignments. Bryant needs nothing to make him a driven player, but some of the other key players need some ass- chewing to play with determination--and it never comes. Now,Doc Rivers is INTO the game and his players know it and respond accordingly. If Bryant had sprained his ankle and not been able to play--the Lakers would have been beaten 120 to 80 or some such score. They need to get a coach that at least acts like he gives a shit.

I agree Phil Jackson has spent too much time in laidback LA and has lost his edge.

That being said when Kobe Bryant went Eagle Country on the Boston Celtics players last night, we actually extended our lead from 4 points to 9 points because the rest of the Laker squad just stood around watching

No doubt. Oh well--I'm waiting for next year anyway in hopes the Blazers will rise again. Last championship=1977,with Bill Walton and a bunch of VERY GOOD nobodies.

Here in new england we’ll never forget the contribution he made to the 1985-86 Celtics; and the great championship victory over the twin towers of Ralph Sampson and Hakeem ‘the dream’ Olajuwon [IMG]

Warriors v Blazers? I don't know. The Warriors have been bad for quite a while--I wish they were more competetive. Ralph Sampson--man I loved his play. A guy 7' 4" that could play guard!! Wonder what he's doing now. Probably weighs 400 lbs.
