I think you two are both being childish. This is a goddamn forum on a hippie website. Just precisely what are either of you two accomplishing by this juvenile display, aside from making yourselves look like asses?
You are in the right kitty, I admit and apologise. Inasmuch as this IS a website for the promotion of "hippie" values (if social consciousness can be so limited to one specific group) I would, however, expect that those who take as much time to post repeated threads of rightful outrage against government criminality - as FUA has done in recent months - to recognise how consistent support for vigilante groups like the Minutemen is with historically documented worldwide fascist principles and practices against the oft-touted "immigrant" threat. Mexicans willing to endure lengthy separation and all manner of exploitation and personal vulnerability to provide for their families are NOT the ones who created nor exaccerbated our economic downslide. They are NOT the ones who created a culture of paranoia and fear to justify war of unilateralist aggression against yet more foreign nations. They are NOT the ones who snuck through and approved a wholly unconstitutional mandatory identity card scheme due to begin in 2 years (without which all Americans will be barred from many modes of travel (to begin with) and ultimately from many of the services our nation takes for granted). They are NOT the ones who have mortgaged our nation into a burden of debt so great it will deeply impact our children's and grandchildren's future. They are NOT the ones who have sanctioned the extension of presumed police authority to the point where our Constitutional right of protest against our government is restricted to "freedom of speech ZONES" or simply brutally suppressed altogether. But, like the average concerned whitebread American (whose many comforts are made possible thanks to the abysmally low-paid hard labour of this segment of our society) these immigrants HAVE had a valuable common experience with these very sorts of elitist US government-supported economic and social repressions in their own country. That commonality is our bond and one which transcends the nationalistic hype put out to divide us against our only true enemies, namely (as stated previously) the politicos and the corporate profiteers for whom our entire system is designed.
