warm is better for keeping clothes bright. i put all like colors (reds, pinks, oranges, yellows or blues, greens, etc) together in a warm load. it works really well. my kids clothes stay super bright. cold is for darks.

i wash everything in cold, i think warm fades colors, and it doesn't get stuff as clean IMO. i use arm and hammer... it's the best for getting shit out. i never pretreat stains unless it's blood (peroxide soak takes blood right out). even grease comes out with arm and hammer (although if it's a saturated grease stain i'll pretreat with shout sometimes). my massage sheets get oil all over them, and washing with arm and hammer in cold water takes it right out. i wash all my clothes, all colors together, and never have problems with shrinkage or staining. arm and hammer is tha bomb!

I guess Ill have to check which one of the settings is warm. Because I dont really know, I just choose the type of clothing Im doing, hopefully it's right.

But thank you so much :)

I usually throw all bright colors together, dark colors together and then whites together, but maybe if I divide my colors in a better way, things will be better? I cant deal with all this science!!!!

it's how i do it, and our clothes all look new. another trick i do, when i'm trying to make the black clothes look blacker is to throw a bright red cloth in with them. or vinegar.

two little ones and a complete inability to allow my children to go out in stained clothes. (a little superficiality left over from childhood of wearing other kids' stained hand me downs). i LOVE arm & hammer. you may want to try it. baking soda based cleaners seem to work the best. some fels naptha lye soap and a toothbrush work really good for stains. look around in the laundry aisle for little things like a bluing agent to keep your whites looking new.

Arm & Hammer all the way. It's the cheapest detergent AND gets stuff so much cleaner. It takes out stinks I thought would never come out. Love it!

I run them through water, gives the illusion they were washed, thusly tricking my mind...

I use that super-concentrated ALL detergent. It's hypo-allergenic and has no smell.
