Themnax: The thing in itself. Being finite, how could infinity ever make sense to us completely? Well, all things I don't think the ego is that silly, personally An example?! Darrell, I didn't ask many questions. You could at least try to answer them, there are only three left. Your thinking the universe is finite is more "belief" than my thinking it infinite, unless you can honestly tell me you see an end to it.
Occam gives up.. If you cant tell reality [everything] from universe [what we observe] then you are saying what you observe is everyting. What arrogance. Is this attitude not a sort of solipsism [only what we see exists?] In a choice between what reality could be, and what humans observe. Occam will go for reality and the very great likelyhood it is a million times larger than our universe. Remember history Everytime we say we have seen everything. We get our socks blown off . Humans are basically conservative and often not the sharpest tools in the shed. Occam
As I've already pointed out, we observe as much of reality as we do of the universe. How could you tell anything 'apart' from the universe?! What we observe is everything we observe, not everything. No it isn't. It is understanding the most meaning to be had from certain words. You yourself say reality is 'everything', which I agree with, but how could you know? We assume infinity with reason. This is an argument about semantics. You'll find my meaning, of the universe being synonymous with reality, with infinity, will stand...infinitely lol. What shed? lol One must learn to give up at the right time, or not at all!
people look for answers to questions such as the nature of the universe and god but fail because the frames of reference themselves are delusional.
