there isn't a single place on earth exempt from negative preferential issues by moving you'll just find some new reason to hate.

That sounds about right. I don't generally agree in making a big decision like that with the basis being, "I don't like it here". I think the better reason should be, "I have something to look forward to here". What I mean to say is, it's better to run toward something rather than away from something. Don't take that the wrong way please, I don't mean you are some sort of coward by any means - it's just in my experience the impetus for this sort of thing should be a positive one, not a negative one - or what TIB says may likely come true.
As they would say in Boston---Costa Reeker might be a decent place to settle. They have no military and I think they have a single payer medical situation. Beautifull jungle with exotic animals, mountains and seaside.
At a time they were beginning to make gas stoves popular... American Indians in Colorado Territory in 1864, Colonel John Chivington, a Civil War veteran, led a band of Colorado militia against an encampment of Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians at Sand Creek. "I have come to kill Indians, and believe it is right and honorable . . . to kill Indians,.. Always nice to move somewhere, after you have killed off the people that have lived there first..:drummer:
I've never left America, even to visit anything, and barely traveled at all... Sad as it is... America is all I've ever known, and before I can pass judgment about other countries, I'd actually have to visit them and know what it's like in them. So until I actually know what it's like in other countries, I think I'll stay in my homeland. Really, you can find love anywhere and that's all I need.
The only hope for the US is to vote and elect Ron Paul as president. All of the misery we are experiencing is a direct result of actions by the federal reserve. Ron Paul wants to expose the fed for what it really is and abolish it all together. The last president that tried it was John F. Kennedy, and we know what happened to him.
I've changed my mind about leaving the United States. This is my country and I'm fighting to take this shit back from the politicians and corporations that think it belongs to them.
Maybe their ideals are to be artists of expressing themes for satirical content even better than in the previous century. I don't know.
Very wise choice. Watch the news from other countries. Yeah we have some problems here in the USA but you know who is going to be in charge when you get up in the morning. It's still the best thing out there.
I could tell ya all about which countries are cool to live in and which aren't. Europe: Spain and Portugal get thumbs up for their liberal drug laws, although their economies are in the shithole right now. You'll have a hard time finding work there. Amsterdam is old news, very old news. The Dutch are cracking down on immigrants and marijuana, with the conservatives in power there. Not fun anymore! Australia: Low unemployment, no economic crisis reached here. You can probably find low paying, seasonal work there, although they have strict immigration quotas. The Aussie dollar is very strong thanks to their abundant natural resources like uranium and coal. If you can put up with the Aussie good ol' boy attitude outside the main cities, you might enjoy it. Just think of America's cowboy/southern bigot, misogynist mentality and you've got the Aussie male pegged. I'd go back there if they would let me stay more than a few months without having to leave the country and come back. India: Now here's a place that has everything, and then a whole lot more! Over one billion people, the world's largest democracy. What makes India a viable place for Americans is their visa policy. You can purchase a 10 year visa up front! You may have to leave every six months or so, but you can keep coming back. And so many Indians speak English, language isn't a big problem. Getting work is another story. There is a big high-tech center in Bangalore and wages there are much higher than elsewhere in the country, but so is the cost of living. In general you can live very cheaply in India. If you already have a source of income like social security or disability you could live nicely here on that. India is so diverse, you can find a niche here for sure. But be prepared for 3rd world scenarios. Life and death on the streets everyday. I never wanted to leave India, and I would love to go back... NZ would be great but you'll need like $200,000 for them to even consider making you a resident. Also it rarely gets warm in NZ. It's like Oregon coast more or less. Asia: Asia is a good place to find work teaching English. Good pay relative to the cost of living. Even Japan pays well. And just remember this folks, if you move to a country with a strong currency like Japan or Australia, whatever you make there will be worth a lot more if you convert it back to US$. That is a huge incentive to move out of the US! Our weakening currency buys us less and less everyday!
