Very quiet???

 

My internet connection went OUT yesterday at 6am, then later, the TV feed also WENT OUT. So I spent 18 hrs out of touch with the rest of the world! As a 'newsie, documentary watcher and communication junkie, I was forced to re-start reading the five books (all based in various sciences) which I have in progress. Learned a bunch of new stuff though, so I suppose it all worked out, (though the quivering, whimpering and twitching was rough.)

I hate to divulge this next, but you Brit and Euro types may have a point on something I've heard you say about us here in the U.S. Spoke to a neighbor this am and she'd talked with a passing cable repair guy, seems that some ignorant, stupid cretin (maybe with a grudge against the cable company) PUT FOUR BULLETS through a transformer/node box somewhere near here. We really are not all 'gun loonies' over here, but there are the occasional wackos out there.

Jeez, I hated writing that.

 

I have had the same problems with WiFi in the UK.
I couldn't even see my messages until now.
Seems OK at the moment.

I think someone near me was trying to hack my WiFi. My provider has now changed some settings, now my IP changes every hour???? Don't ask me, I have no idea.

 

Same here, I'm basically a 'Luddite'. I really need a 'geek' friend.
