Over here, toad in a hole is toast with an egg, but my Gran did something else-- sausage in. Yorkshire pudding batter. I guess you mean that. I liked it but don't remember how she made it, only that it involved drippings from a roast.
Egg on toast is two on a raft. Yes you are right Toad in the hole originally used fat from the dripping of Sunday roast
I was a waitress once, they call eggs on toast Adam and Eve on a raft. If the eggs are scrambled, they'd add "wreck 'em"!
Raging thunderstorm here, perhaps to make up for yesterday's sunshine after a week of persistent drizzle. Hope we don't lose power! Trying now to think of what I can make for supper. Got a brain cramp!
I ate too much Angel. Busy cooking day but worth it. xx My photos are here - BUMP if you are Baking Thread
I'll be cooking too, but not eating much as it's not stuff I'm fond of. Bob likes Polish Easter dinner; ham, kielbasa, macaroni salad, potato salad, beans, and rye bread.
I checked from the outside a few times... I usually turn everything off by 7pm ET but I might check once more before I close this thing.
