That may be because our minds want order and we are disturbed by the chaotic. The red tint, the twitchy "apparition" of me in the picture is unsettling, but it is exactly to produce a certain set of reactions. It is funny how our mental conditioning reacts to certain images, sounds, and textures that are harmless, but nevertheless built into our systems to reject or become disturbed over. The filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, for example, knew this was the key to getting into the brains of his audience. As you can tell I get off on the mind... ha ha
