I am no longer a member of C.O.S., my beliefs have progessed and I fail to center my beliefs around any organized religion.
eh, the C.O.S. can be interesting, very nietzschean/existentialist, i believe in a lot of the same values they do. but like libertine said, i dont profess my beliefs in any religion.
Why? What benefit to god in creating a race of automata? It's not a quiestion of god being intelligent enough, but of our free will and choice. Such a god as you propose would be simply a way of evading responsibility.
Someone to feel what God does and share it with. You cannot evade responsibility. God causes all actions, you do not. You don't have responsibility in the first place. All you need to do to see clearly is realise the desire to behave responsibly is caused within you before God causes you to do responsible behaviors. The desire is salt, like hunger before a meal. It makes the responsible behaviors feel better to do. That is all. God arises desire within you then fulfills it.
but god's perfect and doesnt need anyone to share his world with, he is quite self-sufficient is he not?
that's nice. i think that's a very healthy way to be. every organized religion has other people's dirty hands all over it, and people kinda suck.
Wierd. Looks like a sentence or maybe a question. Obbiously, if God is perfect, we are part of that perfection. Then again, spelling isn't all that you think it is.
