the four "corners" of the earth?

Do me a favor, ryu, PROVE YOUR BIBLE, instead of questioning a skeptic.

A skeptic doesn't claim a belief, you are the "believer" right? The burden of proof is on you to prove "Jesus Did It!"

They were referring to the East, West, South, And North.

But the Bible says that the Earth's a circle.

That's right! It does mean that. Good job!

The Bible says a lot of things. Good things. Bad things. True things. False things.

So what does this prove? So do plenty of ancient texts.

Yeah, but how do they know it, if the general idea back then was that the Earth was flat?

BTW: *is still waiting for an answer for her question*

What is your point, ryu? That some people back then said the earth was circular? Some said it was square? Some said it was a pentagon?

What does this prove? I've already said the Bible had some truth in it. I never denied it. But, the general idea of it is metaphorical and anything further is lacking greatly in legitimate evidence.

If I'm wrong, just prove it. That's not an asshole remark, it's just a statement.

No, but I am sure there are some scientists that would refute it. But, suppose you're right, again...

    So what?

Why don't you take a little journey over to the "Dear god"...thread and read it. I'd like to know your opinion of Biblegod then.

There's not one I know of that follows the OT laws, which were changed in the NT.

Christ abolished the Law. And there's no Jewish temple to do sacrifices at anymore, Muslims built a Mosque over it.

    Haven't we already covered this.

Please prove where Jesus "ABOLISHED" the Law. Apparently, it's not been "abolished" in the eyes of several million Jews.

Oh...but...they don't count, right? Only Christians and only YOUR BRAND.

I don't belong to a brand. Here's some scripture (and, haven't I given you Romans yet??)

    Luke 16:14-17

Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

16 "The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.

    NKJV

The law was there to make men feel good about what God did with them before they understood that God controlled everything. This is a stumbling block for those who think their worth is due to performing the law- because God always showed men that they did not control themselves by breaking the law, even by placing the desire to break the law within man's heart.

Only by complete faith and devotion to God can man understand himself and his God.

It is an abomination for man to take credit for that which God does for and with man. So when men become self righteous because of the Good acts that God does with them, it temporarily (only temporarily) hurts man's relationship with God.
