Well, we pretty much ended Rome in the conflict and sent the world into the dark ages.

I often will hike and wonder through the same forest when I visit the Externsteine. I've always wanted to take a medal detector through the woods and see if I could find any ancient armor and arrowheads etc.
I'm pretty certain though, that you have to disclose what you find in Europe to museums etc. You can't just find and collect, or so I have been told anyway. I probably wouldn't tell anyone what I had found.
