eh its a legit argument, but i just see the world as a far to complex place with so many amazing features that its impossible that theres no god. Were just humans with very limited senses and intelligence, theres so much around us we cannot see or hear.

And heres a question, for those who believe in karma and all that, how can you not believe in some sort of higher being controlling the karma? What goes around comes around is not luck to those who believe in karma, so hows this karma goin down exactly? Whos behind it all?

i dont really see karma as something that can be controlled, to me its more like an ebbing and flowing energy, a mystical undercurrent, not of good and evil, but of right and wrong, sometimes i can feel the influence of karma (i dont reaaaally like calling it karma, but it feels like its of that nature)

^^ ah but that doesnt make sense TO ME atleast, i mean a "mystical undercurrent"? I dont agree because people who dont believe in God basically are saying the earth was created randomly and is run randomly, because there is no higher power to controll it. I mean what IS right and wrong if you think about it? Its just an illusion such as this world, everyone has their differant views towards right and wrong so what is the right way to judge it? I dont think random mystical undercurrent could judge right and wrong as people do..only a higher being, ya dig?

I hope this makes sense to ya

but then, a god doesnt make sense to me, much less most of the people on this forum. who says we need to know these things anyway? why cant we just enjoy this fuckin awesome dream and not worry about petty shit like this?

Seeming ambitious to label such a plethora of organisms as all a dream. If so, whoever did that is WAY better than a dream IMO.

    40 oz and chronic:

Idk bout you- but in most dreams i have, im doing pretty normal things. Not really flying or anything- so id say gravity applies to my dreams because i think it's there. Shamans believe that anything is possible- so if you think there's no gravity, in "reality", you will be able to fly, but most people will just brush that off as "childish" and no one will ever believe that they'll actually have the power to fly so no human ever will-- that's their theory at least (or at least that's the thoery in Hawaiian shamanism). In the end you never know what's true and what's bullshit. But also- in the overall scheme of things, we're basically "flying" now, and gravity is not what it seems to be. Because if you break everything down to its smallist bit, everything is energy, and therefor everything is connected as one, so basically you are the world, you are the universe, i am you, we are all connected. Things simply appear to be different and seperate, "gravity" appears to be there because when u throw an apple up it comes back down, but thats not whats really happening, what's happening is energy is propelling energy and energy is falling back through energy onto energy. (you are propelling an apple and the apple is falling back through the air onto the ground). :Mr-T:

There are three traditional arguments for the existence of God, including ontological, cosmological, and teleogical points of view.

The ontological argument states the existence of God can be proven from the concept of God. (Since existence is perfect and God lacks no perfection, God exists.) One critique of the argument is that it proves the opposite as well. Perfection causes a paradoxal situation. For something to be perfect, it would have to be limited and controlled, and if it were so, it would be imperfect.

The cosmological argument states that for something to happen someone has to make it happen. (This argument is known as the First mover argument.) This argument’s biggest flaw is that God was the first mover; however this argument still does not explain what created God. If the universe is conceived to be a system of things and relations what more is needed to continue the system?

The teleogical argument states something as complex as the universe had to have a maker. This argument only considers two possibilities, intelligent design, or chance; it overlooks the possibility that the universe could have always existed.

The problem of evil is a common argument one would use to disprove an all knowing, all powerful, perfectly good God. (An all knowing God would know about evil, an all good God would want to stop it, an all powerful God would have the power to stop evil, problem, evil exists.) The biggest critique of the problem of evil is the free will argument.

There are many theories about this world. Two common theories about God are, God is a higher being, and god is a combination of matter, time, and energy.

To me karma is the hope of being treated the way you treat people. People who wish to be treated well generally treat other people well too. Karma involves many theories. If a person believes in reincarnation, a person may say, maybe in another life? That goes for situations where one tries to be good, however ends up in terrible situations. What goes around will come around, but one may not realize it when it at the time.

Since no one knows for sure, the greater purpose seems more to making the most of this life, it may or may not be the only one :)

i have something else :p ive been thinking about it lately lol u know how ppl go into coma's n stuff and they have those weird dreamlike things and dont know how long theyve been out for? well what if our whole life was just that and really we are laying somewhere in a hospital bed and have only been knocked out for a few hours? lol or think of this we are us and the world is only what we perceive it to be so something that is sweet to one person might really be sour to another but their whole life theyve been taught that it was sweet so thats what they think sweet is so maybe everything that we really know isnt what is real lol if u understand that lol
