    Sorry, weighing in on the sound purity of analog.
    If we would still record analog and then press to digital, the sound quality is still higher.
    I'll take a vinyl with a pop or scratch over fully sterile digital anyday. Sure its fragile. So are photographs.

    btw, how did you go about getting this job? did you go to some sort of school or did you just kinda...i dunno...what'd you do?

    There's nothing wrong with analog tape; it's just more work and costs more money. Digital clipping is a pain in the ass that isn't much of a problem with tape, but it's way easier to edit and punch-in with a program like Pro Tools. There are pros and cons to both digital and analog, really.
