Yay! He wrote a book about the area I live in... it was good stuff.

 

He sounds like a massive dick.

 

He didn't have anything good to say about Northern Cali in the book... so that makes me think he's a dick. I still like his books though.

 

He's a New Yorker, sweetheart?

 

You know new yorkeriness is like garlic, you can be any kind of person and be a new yorker, but no matter what kind of dish you put it in, you can still taste the new york, and it's very distinctive, and sometimes it's executed beautifully, and sometimes it's just fucking wrong.....

 

Does that mean that New Yorkers naturally hate Northern California, or that New Yorkers are naturally dicks? Just trying to know for sure what you're saying.

I'm feeling more of a New Yorker now that I moved to Brazil, than before. Boy, yesterday at the party...it was obvious I was just street.

 

It could have easily been taken either way

 

A lot of New Yorkers came over to San Francisco during the 60's and helped start the hippie movement. I'm thinking of the Milbrook community specifically, and Ginsberg (all big assholes )

 

If people embraced that, they might have to take...personal responsibility for their actions.
