a south boston accent...its a tad bid different than what people think of a normal bostonian accent...but most outsiders do not notice the differences, and its really hard to explain them
I say pop, too. And I have never heard Americans say coffee as "koi-fei," except for maybe people who are from Long Island or something.
How can one tell if they have an accent? Everyone around here sounds about the same to me. I have heard from folks in Florida, however that Pennsylvanians have nice accents I can surely tell the difference between Pittsburgh, Cleavland, or Buffalo accents.
I think you have a strong accent. You say your "o"s like "a"s. Like "hackey" for "hockey" and "bam" for "bomb".

See, I can't tell the difference between those. I don't know the difference between a Northern Cali accent and Southern Cali accent. I'm curious as hell though.
