Aww, jeez Cate that was so sweet! I have heard your voice as well, and I think it's beautiful & very soothing.
Even if I try really hard I can't do any American accent. However, whilst speaking English I do a great Indian accent, a decent French one and a fabulantastic Dutch one.
I love Dutch accents. I grew up in a Dutch-Canadian village and if you ain't Dutch, you ain't much!! I have a verjaardagskalender hanging on the back of the door in my bathroom.
Wow, you even spelled verjaardagskalender right, I am impressed! And ofcourse, as a final touch, god created the Dutch. Wait a minute, there are Dutch-Canadian villages?!?!?! I am really starting to love Canada now.
Yes. Catholic Dutch community, however. My priest would give masses in Dutch every now and again. Eh, I play rummy, eat sammiches with chocolate sprinkles on them and I ask my neighbour John how his red geraniums are doing. I also smoked quite a bit of weed with people twice my age, in my time growing up there. It's a very Dutchy place, indeed.
I <3 Speculaas. And yes, I played with my dad's wooden shoes, I ate lots of edam and planted tulips in the garden. I still do not like those black licorice salt candies however. Worst thing about Dutch culture, I think. Yuck.
OH MY GOD. There are millions of licorice(like) candies and they absolutely rock the tastebuds. I can not believe that most people outside the Netherlands do not like them. How can someone not like a candy that god himself created?
I have a southern accent. Thank goodness I have a north Georgia accent instead of a south Georgia accent.
Hahaha, that's funny.. But surprisingly I speak very well and say How are things and All you have to do......And I say tasty beverage when referring to any beverage.. or soda pop...... I have had people tell me I have an accent but I do know how to speak properly..Haha, that was the best though...
