The only way to grow up is to be worse than the people you hate, clearly.

Also, your rebuttal to my post didn't mean anything, maybe you should re-read it.... It vaguely hinted that I'm not qualified to speak on this (maybe because I've never earned a fifth of what this leech was when he went on many months unemployment, before deciding to rip people off for a living-I probably can't properly sympathize to leach off of others)

Hurling insults does nothing to further your cause, it's often the only thing left for those who have nothing else to back them up. You don't see anyone else getting vulgar here.

What "cause"? Does everyone here have a "cause"? What silly nonsense. You're all so "counterculture",,with your "cause".

I don't see anyone else saying much at all, except moralizing pretense. The "moral champions of the world", right here on hipforums.

Save it. Go lecture a homeless. Oh, that's right, you already did.

    You mean lecture a huxter?

Dudes on a computer, bragging about how he takes a cruise and uses his GPS to locate businesses to rip off. He voluntarially left at least one home that he was welcome in, and one full of free pot, at that.

I'm not one to judge, and neither are you, what people do to get by.

If he were ripping off people at gunpoint, or stealing money from the blind, that's another thing. He's taken advantage of those who take advantage of everyone who does business with them.

You think conning Burger King out of a meal is a sin? They con people every day out of having a healthy life. I have no pity for BK. They'd sell you rat-infested buns. My wife can testify to that. She used to work for them.

In All Been Totally Up Front With Us...:).

I Respect Him For His Openess And Transparency...:).

My "cause", is to continue to struggle, at times with failing health and limited resources, for my family members, to feed them and keep them housed and cared for. My energy comes from a sense of duty, not some "righteous motive" to get the homeless to have a conscience.

If you can't judge him, why can you judge BK? Or if you can judge BK, is not your wife deserving of the same judgement, bearing in mind that corporations are only made out of people, and that without those who work at the bottom of the chain, there would be no chain?

And if one may, in fact, judge things, must all those things be black and white? Because he is not the opitomy of evil does not make his choice to live less morally than he could acceptable. What if he was robbing people at gunpoint, Mao Zedong killed 70 million..... Because there is worse is not an excuse.

And I don't hold that against you, for what you see in him. I see a politician, plain and simple, hoping to win people like yourself. Just one more appreciation junkie with a few toys, fortunate enough to have a job, a wife, a home, and stuff. Pictures are nice. My wife is like him, taking pictures and sharing them on facebook. Still, she's an appreciation junkie as well. It goes beyond merely appreciating those who appreciate you. It gets into "Hey, everyone, look at meeee." If you don't show people like that enough appreciation, they turn on you.

But that's just my take. He's taken pot shots at me before. I'm not one to lie down for people like that, populists.

In context, I see no profit in trying to change anyone, as much as you do here. It seems people are drawn to HF because they want to change the world, beginning with the easiest shot, someone who comes here and opens up about his life. It's just an easy target, and y'all have fallen into it, with opinions about what he should or shouldn't have done.

Me, I just sympathize with anyone who is on the down and out, period. I don't tend to judge, until they get back on their feet and have the capacity to change. It's not a big deal to me, ripping off Burger King. The people who profit from that business are doing it over a trail of dead bodies, IMO. Who profits from them, I give them credit, not shame.

The day Burger King opens its doors to the homeless, the disadvantaged, to give out meals for free. That's the day I'll show them some respect.

By the way, my wife no longer works for them, but when she did, she was a real whistleblower. I'll give her that.

You want a real "cause"? Go get a law degree and chase after the real criminals, the ones on Wall Street, the ones on the boards of major corporations, the ones running for office, or getting kick-backs from lobbyists in Congress.
