London Burns - Riots all around England

Guy on the TV now- the problem is with the criminal justice system is there is no space in prison to put all these rioters when are found guilty, and they know they can easily get away with it... (or words to that effect)

Maybe if they stopped locking people up for petty drugs offences!!

I just find it astonishing that the police can't handle a small group of youths throwing bricks at them..

They've got riot gear, riot vans, dogs... surely they can do something. They're just standing watching them while they trash shops and burn cars!

I can't wait for nightfall! Hopefully they'll take it to the houses of parliament or something like that! Surely there must be some activists with gumption already heading to the homes of politicians and "public" buildings?

It's a classic military situation, David and Goliath, if you will. You turn up with all your heavy armour and big old stomping boots, weighing you down. Some people in trainers throw a load of shit at you and you charge forward... Weighed down by all your riot gear, the much lighter youths in trainers can easily outrun you in terms of speed and distance, so they do. And then they keep chucking shit at you. LMAO

 

I was just thinking that I'd be surprised if there aren't a few more deaths before the end of it, when and wherever it will end..

I reckon they are going to bring the army in.

I'm watching the scene in Croydon now, people are locking themselves indoors terrified London's a fucking WAR ZONE!!!

 

Earlier reports stated that Pembury estate was blocked off by rioters and becoming "taken over" by them. Some more recent reports talking of police officers and fortified police vehicles being driven out by rioters or outright fleeing.
