One thing I don't like about the left's demos is the formal and solomn nature of them. Rather like the dreary May Day parades which used to take place in Moscow every year. I really like the Reclaim The Streets style of demonstrating such as the 18th of June 1999 day of action against capitalism which had no set route and was controlled by us not the authorities. Or the 1997 Liverpool dockers march which was organised by the left but turned by RTS into a show of defiance at the authorities by a spontanous and illegal mass rave at the end in Trafalgar Square. Thats how protests should be done. Mass rave at the Liverpool dockers demo.
