I'm happy if I get to sleep through the night without seeing/hearing any humans. Before I had a family, I always had work or school and never lived alone. So it would have only been hours of no human contact at a time.
Somewhere between 1 and 2 weeks. Altho, I'm sure the phone was ringing throughout. I can do without company for a little while. Plus I've got my magnificent boys ie cats for company.
i've always lived in a large city, so i've never really gone more than about a day without seeing anyone, and that would be a rare occurence, but i've been for several days without communication with another person, i tend to start to talk to myself after a few, i don't think i thrive all that well on isolation
When I lived by myself I went for days without seeing another person and it was wonderful, but at some point I would always have to go out and get groceries... I would love to go on a long backpacking trip by myself, like hiking the Pacific Crest Trail or something. But honestly I am too afraid of meeting some psychopathic killer out there. This may seem far fetched but my mom was out working by herself in the woods and came across this man who acted super weird and anyways it turned out that he was a wanted murderer... so it happens.
Interesting question, when I broke my leg I was out of work for 4 months. I had visitors but really it wasnt common. I probly went a week without seeing someone but I did have internet.
I went one weekend once without any human contact. There was a bugs bunny marathon on Cartoon network and I had just finished my basic training and had my own room, TV, and refrigerator for the first time in my life. I grew up with two sisters and two brothers and never got time to myself growing up. I learned to read books and shut everybody else out. I like time alone and will go with little sleep to stay up after Carolyn and my boy go to sleep so I can pursue my interests.
