loose vs. lose, a silly pet peeve...

seen vs saw. "Oh, I seen him there last week"... no, you SAW him!!

oh, and effect vs affect. "The effect of explosion was wide spread chaos" vs. "The explosion affected me by causing hearing loss."

 

yeah and I do it on purpose, it looks better and I'm not changing! :stomp:


but the "loose thing" has gotta go!

 

I've noticed lots of people use i instead of I in their sentences.
Even you kc.
Who in there right mind gives a flying toss though

i was going through al lthe posts on this thread, and i realized that none of those other things bug me much. it's just that mental tripwire of hearing "Loosey! I'm home!" in my head whenever i see "loose" in place of "lose."

 

I do no what you mean - when something is bugging you it springs out at you.
It soon does not matter if it is spelt right or wrong.

I honestly do not lose much sleep over it - to be honest.
