That's another thing that pisses me off about apple. You buy an album, pay your money, yet you have no ownership of said album. Their user agreements are absolute bullshit. I was watching a TV show a few years ago and they basically applied apple's rules to a physical music shop, and then acted on their rules on the customers; for example, taking payment for a CD, then taking that CD back immediately, with no compensation or anything. They acted out a bunch of these scenarios on unsuspecting customers; they were furious, to say the least, and the stuff they are allowed to do according to their own user agreements is absolutely shocking. The South Park human centipede mock episode isn't far off the mark.
They dropped the DRM thing a couple of years ago. Also I own the music I bought from them, I'm just now allowed to copy it to anyone else or play it on anything other than iTunes (which sucks) That's not the same as buying a cd and the record shop take it back off you, that makes no sense at all. You're not allowed to copy CDs either (even though everyone does anyway) or records, or even tapes. You also can't play a CD on a record player. It used to be ok to tape a record in the old days though, if you are only going to play the tape to yourself on your headphones)
