i had over 10k on a truck forum i was part of a couple years back, i amassed those over 10k posts from early 2000 through well two years ago

so, two years

5k a year

i was the top poster by over 4k posts

i didnt post bull crap either,

all my posts were replies to ppl who started threads needing technical/restoration help, etc

i am a guru of the 67-87 GMC and Chevrolet trucks,
but i am retired now, i scrapped or sold all vehicles and parts, i had this whole building full of them and was parting out alot of trucks and was driving alot of them too,


imagine how many posts id have on that forum now if i had not been perma banned

bragging about post count is not recommended

why did you get banned? for bragging?

 

well actually, no, not for bragging, but for defensiveness, i actually dont know the true reason, but i was hinted to by the webmaster that it had to do with a few members and with me being the top poster, he warned me to take negative statements from apparently jealous members lightly

but i didnt, i got defensive, and now that i look back upon it, i have to say it was unnecessary defensiveness, there were some individuals whom i should have taken comments and pranks from lightly and i should have just ignored them,

yes i got pranked on there all the time, i had to put up with some members posting sheep avar in my user cp, and one of the admins made up a webcambandit user name and used it a couple times to post a photoshop of my head from a pic of mine and put it on a pic of a womans body wearing undergarments i wont mention

...

some admins there are vey childish and/or immature, and when i started saying hey cut it out, then well soon after i was no longer a member

so therefore i lost access and all rights to the largest forum for the biggest thing in my life, and the forum lost a technical guru

my life been downhill ever since

im at my lowest point in life thus far,

its been crazy,

i wil probably never touch a truck again now,

imagine if you completely totally lost the most important thing to you in your life, something that was your number one interest and hobby and way of life, one that you enjoyed and made money on the side with and met alot of ppl because of- IRL and not, both)



its no wonder im not the same person as i was a couple years ago, im really pretty much the opposite,

basically

i used to be a happy hyper positive person

now im a jaded pissed off high strung worried person

oh and on top of that dont know any of my family not even my parents they are both around 1,000 miles away in opposite directions, and 99% of my circle of friends now lives out of state

and i still cant find work, since the layoffs right at about the same time as i lost the forum

oh and im down to 13 teeth left now,


but anyways i dont recommend saying too much about top poster subject if youre one of the top posters

it can help change your life, possibly in a way you would regret

unless you couldnt care any less about not being part of the forum all of a sudden one day


post count doesnt mean crap to me, i couldnt care less if someone on a forum had 100,000 posts, or if they have only 1 post
