Hey smith chill man. I did do research I just thought it would be an interesting topic for people to disguss.

 

Sorry, I get rather passionate about these topics. Please read my response to neodude a couple of posts up, hopefully that will explain my feelings.

 

Yeah its not like Im pregnant and debating doseing. It just crossed my mind, so I searched it up on google. And the results I got was that bullshit website. So maybe we should STOP telling people to search google all the time and just take a deep breath and share with them confirmed truth. Theres alot of bullshit out there, we all know that.

Folks just need to learn to discern the bs from them truth.

 

You're right, but those programs contained some fairly outrageous lies.

The way I look at it is that the people who generally take LSD are the same people who are probably the most appropriate candidates to take LSD, and this situation arises precisely BECAUSE of all the misinformation out there.
A person who can actually be raised in a society that is entrenched in fear of illicit drugs and is surrounded by lies and propaganda, and still be curious enough to find out the real facts and get a hold of an illegal drug is the type of person who is best suited to the experience in the first place. The person who believes anything that they are told and uses fear as a motivational factor to avoid things is most likely not in need of a psychedelic trip...

You know, more often than not, I find myself thankful at the fact that these drugs are illegal.
Not to get out there, but I feel that psychedelics represent an advanced (although temporary) state of consciousness that the mass public is just not ready to embrace.
Just look at the situation with Salvia. You have a legal and very easy to find entheogen, powerful and extremely potent, that is being abused by children that don't understand anything about what is happening to them.
It makes me sad to think that a substance of such sacred cultural importance to civilizations other than our own is downtrodden in such a careless way by kids who are looking for an escape from boredom.
Maybe this comes off as elitist or something, but I would rather a drug be illegal and a person shows the patience, finesse, and dedication towards finding it and legitimately using it in a state of appreciation and respect, rather than a drug be sitting on a shelf for anybody, regardless of reasoning, to just pick up and blow themselves away on.

We are definitely in agreement on this. Experimenting with RCs as a "legal" and accessible way to get high as always seemed dangerously short-sighted to me.
And for all you RC users out there - I'm not saying that something necessarily bad or detrimental is going to become of you or your health for using these substances, it's just that I personally would prefer to wait until these chemicals are more appropriately understood before accepting them into my body.

So I just posted a link to a paper refuting his claims about LSD and posted a bunch of links about marijuana research on his page about pot. HEHEHee. I hope his readers have the balls to click the links and see what bullshit he is spreading.

Edit: So far I have posted 14 links in his Marijuana page to legitimate sources and 1 on his LSD page.
I think I will continue to do so daily until I run out of resources to link to.
That is the only way to fight disinformation, give people the truth.
I really hope this guy starts a dialogue with me. I want him to explain why he doesn't cite a single source for his information.

I didn't read much besides the OP, but my mom dropped acid twice while she was pregnant with me. I'm pretty stable mentally. I do love my psychedelics, though.

Use your power as a writer on a computer to help others find the facts about these topics, don't ever sell yourself short like that partner.

My brother gave me a bunch of crap recently about smoking pot, until I presented him with the same type of material that I linked to on that page in my comments. Now his opinion has started to change regarding pot and it's use medically.

If you think you can't help make a difference, then you wont.

I know a lot of you take me with a grain of salt, "OH God here goes that old fart Smith again", but the "war on drugs" really is a very important issue and effects everyone, user and non-user alike. How many lives and families would have been spared if even just marijuana had been legalized decades ago, or when Pres. Carter was in favor of it while he was in office.
How many tax dollars would be available if it wasn't going to fund an ill-conceived and fruitless venture such as the war on drugs.

I honestly would think you younger members would be more angry about all this than I would because your the ones inheriting the debt and continuing loss of your rights in this country.

I was just thinking, most of those things are said by scientists, almost anything i ever hear scientifically is said by scientists...I wonder how much scientists really know about these things lol

 

Well I checked back and this tool, Hal Licino, has removed all my posts that had links to research refuting his outrageous claims last night.
How about everyone that reads this just take a couple minutes to go to his page and post a comment asking why he removed them and if he is afraid of the facts.
Don't be childish about it, he loves that. Just simply ask for an explaination as to why he removed my comments.
