I walked a lot today and had a good thinking-session. I think LSD has loads of potentials and should definitely be legalised, especially for the purpose of research. I think it's very important people smarter than me get to research acid and thus unlock its secrets. For personal use I think it shud be consumed as a spiritual experience, not something purely recreational, in safe environments.
I'm not saying they are good reasons, I'm just saying they have enough reasons to want it prohibited. Hell I would be the first to go apply for my LSD-L. What a marvelous point in history that would be.
if lsd becomes legal ,music, art ,and psychology would get a boost that we havent seen since the 60's....but all good things come with prices, people would die from trowing themselves out of windows, flashbacks, some would become depended, some cant comprehend it and might be driven to insanity,u cant account for everyone;s mind ,if we start legalizing things we gotta start slow we start with pot let the people get a feel for them ,after years we move up to some substances and long as u have passed a psychology test and health check and all that crap, making lsd mushrooms and every other drug illegal is just blocking ur opportunity to learn about ur self and what makes ur mind and the universe tick.
I still believe weed and LSD will become legal one day. In the end they'll have to realise. As I see it - the population of people that have tried drugs is increasing, so eventually there'll be a majority that have tried it. And so there'd be a consesus amongst us all that tripping is pretty damn sweet. At least I hope so.
dont hate man, its like, you know cheesecake is bad for you, you know nothing comes from eating it, yet you eat it from time to time anyway cause its so damn good. thats what dope and coke are to me, and i cant even wrap my mind around the words "marijuana and cocaine etc." because marijuana is a hell of a lot different than blowing the white and brown powders. cant even get started on that one. its cool to not like them because u just dont like the effects, but there are people who can use those drugs responsibly. i know they're very bad and have a high risk of addiction and abuse, but i have a good handle on the once in a while thing, and dammit i like it. i just hate how hard drugs are seen as taboo in the eyes of many psychedelic lovers. idk where it comes from, but it seems like if u open ur mind to acid and shrooms, then it should be alrite with you if other people like to have a good time with some good shit. thats all i have to say about that as far as lsd being illegal, it chaps my ass too but o well thats just life i guess. i finally (after 2.5 years of asking every different person involved in a weed, yey, E, D, shrooms, or anything of that nature, monetary transaction if they knew where i could get some acid) got some from my best friend who got it at UNH. me and him had a wild day and IMO acid puts shrooms to shame. shrooms are depressing and acid is zany is the best way to describe it. i wish it werent illegal, but one crazy thought that i have is that maybe the governments best way of making sure people dont get out of hand with the damn stuff is the keep it taboo, make sure people are only dosing in secretive ways as to not attract attention to themselves, and not just wakin up with the usual cup o' electric joe and goin to work, much like the millions of americans who have a good Irish coffee on their way to work to "loosen up". anyone get waht im sayin? like, the shits illegal cause idk it would kind of be like your parent thats ok with you drinkin as a teen and smokin weed and shit, but doesnt really let on that its A-okay with them because that would be irresponsible, and lead you to beleive that it is socially acceptable and not a problem to be so casual about the sort of thing. its sort of like a check and balance situation, just sucks for the people who are smart about it and just end up in shitty situations. what are ya gonna do tho, just trip out and ahve a good time.
Well like I said, I understand other people's use and I do enjoy the effects ot marijuana (I have never tried coke), but for about a week after my last toke, I become completely obsessed with it, and want to do it again, I can't get it out of my mind, it drives me nuts! After about a week, I stop thinking about it. But that's why I don't like doing it. It doesn't give me any benefit, only negative effects, so I don't see the point in doing it.
I get that as well Stand, but hey, cold turks are part of a life full of intoxicants. And actually, know it sounds crazy, but I kinda like cold turks. Reminds me that I'm still human and alive.
even if it did unleash a wave of global insanity, could it really be that much more insane than what we've got now?
JUst because its fun and you want to do it again dosent mean its addicitve. YOur taking the word to far. I highly doubt anybody feels dependent on LSD. I dont no somebody should dose the Worlds water supply and find out.
If you are referring that to me, I know marijuana or LSD isn't addictive. The thing with LSD, is I don't care if I think about it for months after, it will most likely give me some benefits or positive effects towards my life. But I could go to the TV, watch a show, and really enjoy it, and think about it all the time until it's on again next week because I enjoyed it so much. Does that mean TV is addictive? No, just extremely enoyable to some people. The same applies to pot and lsd. I just don't like to be obsessed with things that have no benefit in my life.
For each person that length may vary. I can see no fault in a person attempting to explore themself to reach a greater understanding. Understanding yourself is how you may understand others to an greater extent. As for there being only so many things to experience. Take the game GO for example. There are 10^761 Possible positions (that's more than chess) you can venture. Even in a silly game there's more choices than you can shake a stick at. Due to the fact that people abuse so many other things in life I see no logic in making something such as LSD or Shrooms illegal. Heck, to some extent people should have to go to classes and be cert'd to take that crap. Just like animal ownership. One of the biggest illogics to me is the simple fact that booze and cigarettes (two things of which I happen to hate, more so the cigarettes) are legal --- and abused over and over again.
You guys are forgetting that something can be psychologically addictive. When I said that I find psychedelics addicting, I mean that given access to a large amount of say mushrooms, I can't be responsible with it. I like the experience too much and trip when I shouldn't. I don't think it would much of an issue anymore after some experiences recently, but still...just because your body doesn't learn to crave a substance doesn't mean that you can't be addicted to it. Even if you want LSD or mushrooms to help you, that doesn't mean that it will. I think that it should be legal for medical use, but to make it straight up legal would be a bad idea I think. The government made these drugs illegal because people used it as an intoxicant rather than a medicament. The bottom line is that more people oppose it's use because they percieve it to be a danger to society. WE know that it isn't, but most people don't and they will refuse to see past that...it's a self-fullfilling feedback cycle. Why is it illegal - Timothy Leary. He urged everyone to "turn on, tune in and drop out." Maybe we interpret that differently, but what do you think most people were going to interpret that as? He turned it into a street drug. If you want to blame anyone in particular, here's your man.
There's definitely people who will abuse it if it became legal, but it's not like booze is any different. I see people who abuse it every single weekend and I've seen people who, having drinking all their life, are put zombies now shouting incoherent things at randomers. But then some people can handle it. The older dude in UK history died this year, 115 years old. He drank and smoked EVERY SINGLE DAY since he was 15. That 100 years of fags and booze. And he wasn't demented or anything when he went out. Everyone's different.
when I was in high school 100 years ago some guy took a bunch of acid got into a car drove crazy and killed somebody. only a few people knew the real cause of the accident. another argument against irresponsible use
lsd is illegal cause it can fuck you up, and i mean seriously fuck you up. picture this if you will.. LSD is not illegal and, although it is regulated, some dipshit gets into his dads stash or whatever that is normally for responsible adult time (or what the fuckever). dipshit thinks it would be cool to slip some to an unsuspecting friend.. of course you've got to take this into consideration too.. a little acid goes a long way. the difference between one drop and a little squirt is huge. anyhow, unsus. friend spends the next 12 hours crying and smearing applesauce on himself while pondering why the clouds won't leave him alone because he can't wrap his head around it. it has a place. it should not be so hard to obtain and the consequences for being caught should not be so great (and fuck while i'm should not-ing, it shouldn't be so damn taboo in the first place..) but its not for everyone. as long as the world has a few dipshits kicking around, and as much as i fucking hate to say it, it should be put up. that way only those really prepared to take the trip will search for and pay for the ticket. i took five hits only to find out that applesauce is really sticky... just kidding.. it washes right off.
I still thinks it's unfair that people who can use it properly have to go through such trouble to get it.
