Thank you. been doing that using chicken wire to bend the girls, just never heard of a name for it. Also good to see another use for baling twine on the ICG site.

using chicken wire and training the shoots through the holes is a SCROG or Screen Of Green. With LST you can use anything from string, pipe-cleaners, rubber-bands, etc. to tie down the plant parallel to the soil. This exposes all the nodes to direct light. Causing them to grow towards the light, resulting in multiple tops.

Ok so updates coming soon, they are due to be fed either tomorrow or the day after. About a week ago I had some pH troubles. I ran out of buffer solution to calibrate the pH pen, and was without the stuff for a good week. When it finally came (god damn you UPS ground shipping...) my meter was off a whopping .7! :leaving: I haven't fed them since, some foliar feeding but I don't think it's made much of a difference. No big problems, some small mag and cal deficienies on a few plants, but next watering I'm going to bump up the nutes, they need to get bigger! The lst is working out good from what I can tell. Most of the tahoe blues have 6-7 tops already, the sweep warps have 5 each, and both of the sour diesel x og kushes have 4. The mutant tahoe blue only has 2-3 but I started training that one later than the rest just because it the way it was growing there was no way to lst it. That's all over though, it's grown out of that and now it's got some faaaat leaves. Peace all...I'm off to bed.

Sounds great my man! For the Ph - if you are using tap water the pH should be rock steady which will let you use a set amount of pH down (most likely) per gallon. 1 ml pH down lowers pH 7 to ~ pH 6.

Just be careful with the nutes :)

    UPDATE...

Ok so a day or so ago I finally fed them, almost 2/3 strength (as well as some calmag), wanted to see what they could take. I came home from class today and BAM huge difference already. Nothing major ever came of the pH problems, it's lookin' pretty good for me so far. They're also starting to bush out nicely. One thing I should've thought of was that grow bags aren't the best for training plants, I think next time I might use weights instead of twine.

Heres the whole group, not much taller than the last set of photos, but much fatter :spliff:

I found out about the Tahoe Blues finally, still don't know the exact composition but the breeder, master thai, said that it has (dj short's) blueberry, c99, thai, and Cambodian (he brought the cambodian home from Vietnam).

I did it up proper with the photography this time, peep the towel backdrop :jester: I forgot to take pictures of one of them, oh well next time...

Here's the mutant blueberry I was talking about, hopefully itll turn out special, it definately leans to the blueberry: it's got big fat leaves, it's a freak of nature, and as you can see from the pics outta all of my plants its the most touchy.

^out of everything I've ever grown, those are the fattest leaves.

^A 1 bladed leave sticking out of a 3 bladed one. I think this plant ate some paint chips back when it was a seedling...

Here are the Sweet warps, I suspect one of them is a male :toetap: It's just preflowers though, so -IT- doesn't get the axe yet.
This first picture sucks, sorry, I blame the blunt of trainwreck...

Hey bud!! Everything is looking happy and healthy!! Im sure you've stated it, but how long do plan on vegging for? Also, predatory insects are awesome!! Been thinking about getting a spider or two, but i just can't get past the part of me hating spiders ;) As always, keep up the good work!! Your on your way to a nice harvest!!!

Thanks for stoppin' by man and also the kind words. I know that if you don't like spiders then ladybugs will wreak havoc on pests. Nah I haven't decided when to flower yet. I want them bigger, that's all that I know for sure, but if I had to guess I'd say maybe 2-3 more weeks.

Hey man, yea, i've heard about and seen people use ladybugs.....but more often than not, the spiders work loads better. Cool, 2-3 more weeks will allow for plenty more growth before flowering.

Looks good. The LST seems to really bush those kids out, can't wait to see how it affects the harvest.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. To answer your question spoons, my light is about 10 inches from the tops of the plants, I don't move for the pics but the reflector is right above the frame in the pics.

Both sweet warps are showing sex, one is a male, one might be a male, odds are it is but I'll give it another day or so before the chop. Only 1 tahoe blue has shown sex, and it's a female. Neither SDOGs have, I really hope they are girls, I love the way they grow so far and with the parents I don't see them being bad smoke.

Both sweet warps have been cut, both were male. It looks like one more of the tahoe blues is also a male. I untied most of them, I have a good number of tops on each plant. Still now sure how much more veg I'm going to give them, the rest should be showing sex soon, the stems are zigzagging so they are getting pretty mature now. They just got watered yesterday so right now their perkin' up. I'm going to be getting my double strawberry diesel order soon (sourdiesel x strawberrycough), can't wait to start those.

How much longer would you let em go? I figure if I flowered them now they'd be about 2-3 feet, but it's hard to judge how big the stretch is gonna be since I've never grown these strains. I can handle a 5 foot plant, but I don't know how good that'd do under a 400w not enough penetration  Now that you made me think about I might keep training them, I was gonna put 4 girls in 5 gal pots. Like said before I usually flower in smaller pots but I also have alot more.
