Lying to kids about Santa

ha and i remember once, on christmas day, i said i heared santy's reindeer on the roof... i found out in later years, that my Da came home drunk, and was trying to build my playhouse thing. and fell on top of it :rofl::rofl:

Hahaha. I told my parents I heard Santa leaving the house and they flipped a shit thinking it was a Christmas robber. I was like "Why are you so afraid of Santa?" hahaha.

in hindsight, maybe we shouldn't lie to our kids.

I loved Santa, I think it's mean to not let kids believe in him. If i'm honest, i'm still not convinced he is made up...

Dude, I believed in the tooth fairy for a LOOOOONNNGG time. I would swear up and down that no one but the tooth fairy would be able to get my tooth out from under pillow without me waking up...

I was never lied to. Very grateful my mother had the respect to raise me in the real world and not feed me some bullshit story like I was a spastic.:2thumbsup:

 

If my parents told me that she was Santa, my childhood would have been very different.

 

The tree and the lights and all of it sounds awesome. No need for the weird made up fat guy breaking into your house at night to make it magical if you ask me. Kids find the world as it is magical.

 

Santa still comes to me. There's a stocking filled with presents waiting for me every Christsmas morning. It's still magical. What the fuck is wrong with all you people who are trying to ruin that?! Just piss off!

 

Christmas magic isn't hurt to me by knowing that Santa = mommy and other loved ones
