I know nothing about this, but I bet that you can import cards that you own into the online game. Do they have a code on them or some shit?
the online version virtual boosters irritate the hell out of me, fuck, honestly? I'd rather grab the card database, and play in forum form (have a RNG 1-60 choose the card you draw, put in a provision that each card can only be drawn once, lest it's returned to the library, a la darksteel colossus) and, fuck it if the person owns the cards they're playing or not, you could have a pretty good match. example link the images to the cards you're playing, document your mana, etc. you could set up a good many mechanisms to prevent cheating. and counters, and tokens would be easier to keep track of (even using a 200 token deck from hell, and then a predator dragon saccing them all for mass ownage, toss in some horns of vorrac, and a soratami chariot, fawget about it)
I used to play in standard tournaments when tooth and nail/affinity were tier one. (That sounds so dorky!) I haven't played competitively in about three years. I have magic online, my guilds name is Videodrome come join it! iggy:
I have to wonder how long it would take me to build my favorite deck by acquiring digital cards it's got cards all the way from beta to shards of alara.
you can do trading, buying/selling...casual games...enter tournaments...8 player drafts...there is a friends list...its fun as hell...it took me awhile to get everything i have though...the currency on there is in the form of "event tickets"...$1=1 event ticket...you can use the tickets to enter tournaments or buy cards/boosters and decks...
