Well apparently it's because the cats microchipped and they are lazy. A microchip is place under the skin on a cats neck and it has a number...if the cat gets lost and brought to a vet or animal shelter they can scan it and then the owners name will show up.... When I got the cat from the shelter they scanned it and put my name and address under the cats number...it took about 3 minutes. To change the cats name...they'd have to do the same thing and they aren't willing to. So I of course suggested that since its a cat and will probably not run too far if it does somehow figure out how to open the door...that my NAME and ADDRESS are on the computer...so why does it matter if the cats name is different...wouldnt he still belong to me?
