did anyone else notice the texture of the outside of his hair, that wasnt hair... it looked more like plastic, disgusting

I agree^^it ain't disgusting at all! This seperates the people who get dreads for purely superficial reasons. I mean, his hair is absolutely amazing.

 

??? I never want my hair to look like that and it has nothing to do with me being superficial. They look dirty and yucky. Not to mention the weight he has to carry around on his head... that must be very damaging to the back and neck muscles.

But the dude seems happy and so do the other peeps in the video that helped him with the reveal.

Btw, you can all start growing your hair like him if you are that envious. lol

 

Yep, just 'cause it's bigger doesn't nesessarily mean it's dirty inside. Might be a little of course, who cares though, either way it rocks...

And before you all jump in and say noooo we said disgusting, not dirty, I would ask why, it's not so very different to what you have, (or what you're trying to achieve) just on a larger scale.

i kinda agree with daisymelan on this..
i don't think you should respect a man because of his looks anyways, but rather for his wisdom. i personally respect the man for the inner growth he hopefully had during these years and his happiness and seeming content if it makes any sense..
people get dreads for various reasons and imho people who don't want to have them more than idk a year or two, aren't supposed to be considered automatically superficial. having dreads might be just a part of the path we walk and cutting them off, doesn't mean you loose the experience gained. again idk if it makes any sense at all.
and do you think naming people superficial just because their one opinion about something isn't the same with yours, isn't superficial? (not directed to you Luxie, just a general thought)

besides, maybe they seemed yucky because of the quality of the vid.

several months ago someone posted boutr a brittish woman claiming to have the worlds longest dreads at only 7 feet
the guiness book listed her i guess without even looking into it
the4 guy in this thread has 38 feet and already had the record for longest hair (but wasnt specificly for dreads)

the woman withy the 7 foot dreads never did research either there are many out there especialy in india with dreads well over 20 feet

but to themj its a spiritual pursuit not a desire for recognition for theyre amazing ability to do what everyone can do..grow hair

mine woukld be 7 feet at least if i didnt keep losing a foiot off the ends from being tripped on and stuff
