    lol
well this is hard to explain without sounding like captain obvious...The store is mainly more food than anything overall, and they carry the harder to find products like vegan ice cream and such.. they have more "extras" than the site does; frozen dishes other than just the mixes. I was there once when it first opened, apparently they've expanded a bit so I'm trying to find time to get down there, they don't really have worker-friendly hours; only open til 6 PM on weekdays [closed on weekends]

I've always felt The Humane Farming Association was a worthy organization. It took me a while to realize that not everyone's going to be a vegetarian, so contributing to the welfare of animals used for food seems like a step in the right direction.

    good pint, bwirth.
and apples, I kinda saw a clothing store in my mind, so no Captain Obvious moments here.
    Captain Oblivious, maybe. ;P
sound like the hours suck. what time do they open?
maybe a 2-3 hour shifting of the open hours would generate more in-store sales.
I'm reading a book called "Eat Here" about localizing agriculture.
touches on the slow food movement as well.
    Good stuff so far...

Oh okay.. I just felt that my description of the place was dry, and I couldn't find a way to state it without sounding too general.

Anyway, I'd like to share my new excitement in the fact that I'm going to volunteer at the local animal shelter, starting hopefully soon :)

I had to edit this because I realized it was .org after i posted .com

    I'm having an airhead moment.

    way cool.
I walk dogs for a shelter. I know from experience that long inside shelter hours are not good for the pet population in my home!
Plus I hang in the cat room. I like cats. I'm allergic to the saliva proteins on the dander and these kitties SHED.
