    Pwned.

There are so many health myths out there that people will passionately defend to the death. It's actually kind of scary. By the way, being out in the cold doesn't give you a cold, either, just so you know.

^ Since you seem to be referring to me "theshow" then the proof would be that oil clogs pores.

Greasy dirty fingers touching the face would clog the pores, and a greater chance of acne to occur. It't not going to happen right away, but constantly touching the face with greasy dirty hands is going to clog your pores and cause you acne.

i used to get a shitload of acne and thought it was from smoking, then after talking to people and doing a little research, i found out it wasn't from the weed but was actually from the smoke around me. if you spark up in a room and have alot of excess smoke, sitting in that smoke-filled room for awhile causes the pores in your face to get clogged up and dirty, ultimately resulting in acne.

wiping your face with grease has nothing to with what I said at all. All i said was that eating chocolate and stress do not increase acne...that is an old myth which has been proven false...you asked for the proof and I gave it to you. It really ain't that hard to follow.

Nevermind "theshow." I did read that article, and this is what I found:

"Every individual is different, though. Some people notice their breakouts are worse after eating certain foods — and these foods are different depending on the person. For example, some people may notice breakouts after eating chocolate, while others are fine with chocolate but notice they get breakouts after drinking too much coffee. If that's the case for you, it can help to cut back on that food and see if it makes a difference."

The "fact" that the foods you eat don't correctly cause acne is generalized. Actually it's on an individual basis. It depends on your own body's makeup. If a person is prone to a breakout after eating a chocolate bar, than I'd attribute their acne to the chocolate.

    Then why the ^^^

I took that to mean, 3 posts above..

Read my post which is 3 posts above yours, and you'll see what I was referring to.

It also doesn't have to be grease. Just a dirty hand that may or may not have been touching greasy foods.

the "^^^" was just referring to the post above...if i had wanted to refer to a previous post of yours directly I would've quoted it. hence why there is a quote button. but now I see what you meant.

and yes it is on an individual basis but the most important fact is that "Although eating too many sugary, high-fat foods is never a good idea, studies show that no specific food has been proven to cause acne."

The most important fact is that EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT.

Yes well you're the only one who uses more than one ^.

except for all the others who do...even someone else on this thread, but that's no matter.

and I disagree about the most important fact because there's no need to continue these false old school generalizations. It is more important to enlighten the youth. Once we deal with acne we can tackle the next huge issue, teen pregnancy.

I would hardly put teenage acne up on the list with teen pregnancy, and since I doubt you would either than I'd say that your making a shot a me. So FYI I wasn't a teen when I got pregnant lol.

And back to the point. I certainly hope that you wouldn't think it would be ok for one to rub their faces with greasy hands now do you?

Also just so you know.. I never attributed any teenage acne that I may have had to my diet. I just wanted to see some hard evidence against such a wide spread claim.

face is greasy anyway, if unwashed - that grease will block off pores and cause infection on the inside. step in shit or shit on your feet, in the end u will still need to wash those shitty feet

Meh, whatever. I was just curious =) It's moderate and whatever, but it's no biggie.

Proactiv is shit, do not try any of that piece of crap, commercial shit. It does have some good stuff in it but it does not work on the long run.

Can't be the smoke either, cause I always smoke outside or at least blow the smoke out a window.

I think men CAN go on birth control but it has to be a really low dose (I believe a friend of mine, her brother took them) and it kinda works.
